Sneak should have been tried on the 1st and goal with 20 seconds. Then you take the time out, try to roll out and find someone.

I can understand trying to win it from the 1/2 yard line, but when you come up and see that Michigan was in a defensive front designed to stop the QB sneak, you have to check out of it or take a delay of game and kick the FG. There was NO WAY Minny should have ran that play v. that front.

Perfect summary.... like going for the win, but terrible clock management before that and then take the delay when they are stacked against the QB sneak.

exactly, this is the same situation iowa had at the end of 1st half. beathard spikes the ball, we try a pass into the EZ on 2nd, clock stops on the incompletion. 3rd down, try a run knowing if you don't make it to use your timeout to then either kick the field goal of try for the td again.

we played it perfectly and got the td and the goophs, well... lost.
