Michigan continues to dominate the Big Ten

Yeah, I'm not sure what that team might be missing. They seem to have everything you need to make a deep run.

They're clearly the best in the league.

I'd still take baylor or gonzaga if um was matched up against either of them. But this um team is playing well enough that I wouldn't count them out against any of this year's competition.

I don't know.

Um is so much better inside than Gonzaga.

Gonzaga has better guards, but Michigan has a guard stopper in Chaundee Brown.

Gonzaga may be the best passing team ever in college basketball.

Would be a fantastic game.

Very impressed with Michigan. Solid on both ends. Players compliment each other and they have excellent chemistry. Is this type of a roster impossible for Fran to replicate? Another data point to the value grad transfers can bring. Without Smith and Brown, Michigan is at home watching after second round.

They look to be rounding into form post Livers. Transfers can be a wonderful thing. With transfers being immediately eligible next season Fran I hope is seriously looking at some. Michigan looks like they could be the team to beat here in the future. #1 class coming in and sounds like Howard is in on the transfers again.

Saw John Beilein on TV the other night. He is basically conceding the B1G to Michigan for the foreseeable future. I'm sure Izzo will want to have something to say about that and a few other schools may offer a challenge occasionally, but with the Michigan name and coach and AD, recruiting is almost like getting to choose who you want. It will be an unbelievable uphill climb for schools like Iowa. I'm afraid our window for B1G basketball dominance just opened and snapped closed.

Dominance? That was never in the cards for Iowa. Most fans would be happy with just being in contention on a regular basis. It does look like Michigan might have replaced MSU as the dominant force in the conference though.

I'd rather it be UM than MSU or Wisky, at least they've had likable coaches the last decade.

This.

Michigan does appear that they're going to be scary good for a while, I hate to say. The good thing is that it doesn't mean Iowa can't still have success, regardless of how good Michigan is.

Michigan will need to avoid the trap that some of these top recruiting teams have fallen into in being too young every year. They did a really good job of pairing experienced veterans with Dickinson and Wagner this year. Will that be the case moving forward?

my assumption based on the success of Mike Smith and Chaundee Brown is that Juwan Howard should have little trouble getting the interest of transfers that want to join a system where they can make an impact right away and win games at a high level.

Is their stud recruiting class willing to sit a year to play. Or will they all be one an done?
