How in the world was that ruled a td with no backs. I'm no official but I thought no takedown and 4 backs for danger? Do they always award a td with danger backs?
I'm confused.

Good.Looks like Warner is well aware of the comments made by this board last week with that hand wave. Don’t think he’s very happy with the fans.
The strength isn’t the problem in my opinion, it’s the quicknessThe issue is that guys like Parris and Kerkroid are just stronger than Cass.
He has to avoid giving up those easy takedown early against Parris.
At least now he knows he can score on Parris though.
🖕 should have been nf unless someone can explain it to me….How in the world was that ruled a td with no backs. I'm no official but I thought no takedown and 4 backs for danger? Do they always award a td with danger backs?

I think the bigger problem was not riding him harder before. Seems like he gave up too soon, and Cass has the size advantage and Parris was gassed. Terrible ride by Cass, imo.Such a dumb shot by Cass at the end
I didn't think that was at the fans, thought it was more in the direction of the Michigan bench.I think it’s more of an issue that he doesn’t make it out of the first period very much. Not enough mat time to stretch his lungs. He’s looking better now though.
Neutral danger TD is breaking 90. To get near fall it needs to be 45.I could swear I've seen danger backs called a 100 times with no td? Am I wrong? If they awarded a td too this should have been 6.
It was opposite direction of Michigan benchI didn't think that was at the fans, thought it was more in the direction of the Michigan bench.
I heard no boos, only cheers.
If that was at the fans then his butt hurt runs deep.
Thanks for explaining, it sure looked like he was past 45. I'm a homer though. LolNeutral danger TD is breaking 90. To get near fall it needs to be 45.
Brands was on the radio and explained it to Grace and Ironside. He didn't seem upset and was on the edge. That's the reason he was hesitant to throw the brick and wanted an official's review instead.
According to him, it never broke 45. Probably the right call, for once.

if he had the backs, maybe he would not have taken that shot.Such a dumb shot by Cass at the end
Parris is huge compared to Cass, but yes he was gassed at that point.I think the bigger problem was not riding him harder before. Seems like he gave up too soon, and Cass has the size advantage and Parris was gassed. Terrible ride by Cass, imo.

👍 I guess looks can be deceiving.Cass doesn't have a size advantage on Parris
Yep, he lost weight and transitioned to a slap and tickle low leg offense but both Kerk and Parris are still quicker and now both are bigger and quicker. He needs to get bigger and bring some upper body stuff and some power TDs back into his game plan or he will keep losing. He doesn't bring an advantage to the table to win calculated type matches vs Kerk or Parris. He needs to have high ass pace and create some chaos. The strength isn’t the problem in my opinion, it’s the quickness
If he's mad at the fans for his crappy performance last week, that would be misplaced anger.Looks like Warner is well aware of the comments made by this board last week with that hand wave. Don’t think he’s very happy with the fans.
You lose credibility when you categorically state that Cassioppi will never beat Parris, then when he almost does, you say this. Would be best to steer clear of stating things in an absolute manner. That gave me hope for cass
He really wrestled the perfect match. I was worried he might wrestle too open which is exactly what Lewan wants, to capitalize on an errant shot. Cobe wrestled very smart in that regard, then came up with the effing goods when Lewan was deep. Very good win.Fear does not enter into Cobe's thinking. What a stud.
After this year, 2 I believe. What does Cobe have left Chief, 1 year?
Wtf are you trolling about, nube?If Spencer doesn’t get in shape and soon he will not beat Glory in tight 7 min match
Nice of Michigan to come to Iowa and send out four starters.
Ha! Appreciate the propers but I was far from alone in my thoughts…. Never was a doubt to those paying attention to what was going on in the off-season. NO ONE worked harder than that young man. Couldn’t be happier for him, he truly deserves what he’s earned so far and he ain’t done yet by a long shot.Credit to Gobblin. When the question was posed "who will be the guy at 157, Coby wasn't considered a real candidate by everyone except Gobblin.
It's easy to be negative when he gives up the first two takedowns and has a history of being dominated. Im willing to have my mind changed, and cass showed progress. You lose credibility when you categorically state that Cassioppi will never beat Parris, then when he almost does, you say this. The wear them out part for sure part of the blueprint but he needs to have a more aggressive pace/style to get the job done. Wrestling from space and trying to hit low leg shots isn't going to do the job. Two things that happened last night that inadvertently gassed Parris were 1. Parris having to work really hard to get the TD with the leg in the air, he was huffing after that. 2. Getting caught on his back in Cass's legs. Cass has typically given up a big multi point move early vs Parris as well so not doing that obviously helped.Kerk and Parris are both stronger and quicker than Cass. His only hope is to wear them down. Tonight was almost the blueprint.
Gobblin, how do you see Chittum fitting in over the next two years? I too like Siebrecht but I’ll be surprised if Chittum is in many one TD matches.Ha! Keep in mind Cobe is FAR from a finished product.. He’s getting better and better by the day. He’s a late bloomer. We’re long overdue for a kid like him.Gobblin, how do you see Chittum fitting in over the next two years? I too like Siebrecht but I’ll be surprised if Chittum is in many one TD matches.
Speaking from one dork to another...let me expound a bit. For me personally, I seldom use words such as "never" or "always" (sometimes not even "will" or "won't") because few things in life are absolute (even established scientific laws have changed over time). Yes, I'm pretty much a grammar police kind of guy. I won't even say "Spencer Lee will win a fourth NCAA title" -- just look at some of wrestling's all-time greats (Gable, Karelin, Sanderson, etc etc). It's easy to be negative when he gives up the first two takedowns and has a history of being dominated. Im willing to have my mind changed, and cass showed progress.
I'm not trying to gain credibility, it's a open forum dork
Too many beers 🍻👍 I guess looks can be deceiving.
