Mike Zadick interview

Always loved watching this guy. My All time favorite match is when he's losing to Frayer like 8-0 and comes back to beat him. Frayer can't even stand after the match and Zadick just drops the leg bands on him.

It was 12 or 13-0 with about an hour of riding time against him.

Great comeback!

Mike is one of the best that I know!

Mike is a great guy. I've had the pleasure of talking with him a few times. He takes the time to get to know u and talk wrestling. But when I told him I lived in Great Falls, MT for a couple of years and I was a hunter he got excited a we shared a couple of hunting stories.

i will never forget watching that great comeback match...it was At the National Coaches Duals In Columbus and I was sitting right beside his father in his black cowboy hat....he was yelling encouragement to him like it was not a big deal...just get up and get started ...when Zaddick came back and mentally broke the kid you could just sense from the Father that it was expected...not a surprise. I have it all on home video...i was lucky enough to have my wife taping the whole match....what a great memory and inspiration..i have shown it many times during my coaching years and the kids all love it !!

story time, sorry. I was driving jr who just graduated from the naval academy to great falls to reconnect with his bride who was the officer in charge of the icbm's in mt. After relieving the missouri of some very healthy rainbows, I went to dinner at Jakers. There was Mike and we talked iowa wrestling, duh. Next day we were on the same flight and he came over and talked for a couple of hours. I told him I was there when he beat Reggie Wright with a few seconds left. He relayed how he felt Reggie break and just keep pressing. Great time. We kept in touch and joined his support group. I thought his handshake was going to break some fingers. Great kid.
