Miller Moss to Iowa? The Transfer Portal window opens on Dec 9 for 20 days. "You're gonna have a lot of million-dollar Quarterbacks."

But this year he’ll be working on putting something on the scoreboard, even if it’s only a safety. That will require his full attention, so next year’s team will just have to wait.
No doubt since we're averaging 15 more points per/gm the last year, or did you miss that part?

QB1 should be the top priority in the portal. Pay as much as we can to get the best, most proven QB that will come here. A really good/great QB completely changes the dynamic of a team

Ton of holes that need filled on both lines. I'd much rather prioritize filling those holes, getting depth, but that's JMO.
They do have other needs. Didnt say to not fill other positions too. I dont think they’ll do much if anything at OL/LB, if anything maybe a depth piece. I do think they should heavily be involved at QB, DL and CB. If they can get an impact WR then take that as well

I hear ya, I guess my point is that if a QB costs 7 figures, that leaves the coffers pretty empty. Jackson was a top LB pull 2 years ago, so there is precedent for it.

recruit speed, speed & more speed at all positions. And then utilize the speed accordingly.

Miller Moss played in 2 games in 2021, 5 in both 2022 and 2023 and 9 in 2024, so it looks like he's got 1 year eligibility remaining.

This season he passed for 2,555 yds (284 yds/game), 18 TDs and 9 INTs. He had a 64.4% completion%.

Purdue, as expected, has a mass exodus in progress.

Could be a couple possibilities there. And a defensive back from Northwestern that was a high school target.

Some other names Iowa is looking at:

WR - Chase Sowell - ECU

WR - Eric Rivers - FIU

WR - Bryson Canty - Columbia

DT - Jonah Pace - CMU

DE - Langden Kitchen - Northwest Missouri St

CB - Isaiah Reed - Brown

S - Cole Wisniewski - NDSU
Where’s a good source for a list like this? Always fun to see who they are looking at. Surprised by all the WRs… prolly a position they will have to take a shot at a bunch of guys… sowell and Rivers are gonna get paid handsomely.
As many have said before, WRs are a bit of a tough sell unless we get a solid QB…
Of the options for Moss Iowa is prolly the easiest place to start at, but dang it would be hard to sell Iowa to him as well. Plus he’s gotta be expensive…

Tyler Barnes’ twitter is the source.

I'm surprised Miller Moss is looking at Michigan, considering they just landed a massive talent who is most likely going to start as a true freshman next year.

that NIL money needs to go to an OT, CB, and DL. Go the FCS route and look for a solid potential starter or backup and plan to use B. Sully/Marco as your QBs next year.
Marco seemed to have all the tools coming out of high school and played on a team with poor OL, and still made plays. Great runner and big athlete. Seemed to have decent arm also. Hopefully he develops and gets a chance to.

He could be a one yr hold over for Underwood….or pass the reigns mid yr. Think Louisville is more likely though

I have much more confidence in Iowa to produce on the lines (albeit the offensive line a lot less so lately) than to produce a quarterback internally.

But if the going price is $1M annually?
I can’t imagine even someone like Moss Miller would be getting a million or more to play quarterback in the portal. Maybe more like Cade figures. There’s a reason he was benched at USC. It’s a lot easier to sell someone on forking over a million bucks to get the hot high school unknown, than the college quarterback that has been good but already lost his starting spot at his old school.

yeah, i don't think Michigan will be his landing spot
If this is bona fide, it would be a good opportunity for both player and organization. However, all of the above are great insights that leave me skeptical. Not saying he has ulterior motives, but if Tyler Barnes is the original source, the motive could be to juice donations SWARM overall, especially if the market rate were even less than the above suggested $1 mil.

Additionally, Fran’s insight is interesting as well, regarding Michigan (or frankly, any other top B1G program). In a previous article posted here, it mentioned IOWA could become a competitor for the CFP with a good QB. Without need, could the top B1G programs have a vested interest in keeping IOWA from doing so, even if their overtures aren’t serious? Historically, haven’t we seen this happen before, but differently, with IOWA identifying recruits, only to subsequently have one of them jump-in last minute (ie, the recent kicker situation)?

Lots of speculation, and a lot of moving parts. More importantly, a lot more questions to answer. Competition for talent can be a fickle mistress.

Yes, i have
No wrestlers were listed in the tweet. Also, wrestling nil doesnt come from the Swarm.

Second, the tweet specifically mentioned 5 athletes that have made HUGE contributions. What huge contributions has Gill made? (I do think he jad been our best wr so far which isnt saying much)
What huge contributions have the two mens bb made thus far?
And what huge contribution has the female bb made thus far?
The 'female bb' leads the team in ppg and apg, ya dum dum.
