Well it's at night for Floyd in Kinnick! Minnesota has been playing very tough since getting blown out by Nebraska. Mitch Leidner who was regarded as the worst passer in the conference had two straight 300 yard games and threw for 281 vs Ohio State. Leidner also has the ability to run the ball which is a cause for concern. Minnesota is like Pittsburgh (a poster said that earlier) and that worries me, we all know how tight Iowa/Pitt was. Minnesota killed Iowa on the jet action last year with KJ Maye and he returns, seems to be one of their go to wide outs. Minnesota likes to use their tight ends too, so Iowa needs to be mindful of that. Maxx Williams was a pain for Iowa last year, glad he is gone. Minnesota also held tOSU offense in check for a lot of the game, so our offense needs to be ready.

The last time Iowa was 9-0 we couldn't rise to the occasion. This will be a tough tough game, Minnesota hates Iowa and I just don't know...I don't know?!

My gut tells me...

Minnesota - 25 Iowa - 24

I prefer this guy starting the thread because we've won every week, and I'm sure as hell not jinxing us now.

Iowa wins in a dominant fashion, 40-17

I think this Clayes job interview. Minnesota wins he gets the job

If Iowa allows long scoring drives, this one will be close. Offense needs to be crisp and defense needs to step it up. I think Iowa is hungry after being embarrassed with no trophies in the case last year.
Iowa 31
Minny 13

Leidner had 11 carries for 77 yards vs Iowa last year, 10-13 passing for 138 yards
KJ Maye had 10 carries for 66 yards

Akrun Wadley had 9 carries for 68 yards
Weisman had 14 carries for 23 yards
Rudock was like 10-19 for 89 yards and a pick

Kornbrath punted the whole game for Iowa and averaged 38 yards a punt.

If Iowa doesn't win the turnover battle and doesn't stop the jet action/tight ends, it will be a long day in the office.

You remind me of my mother -she had 10 children and worried day and night about each one, always thinking about ways the kids might get in trouble.

Chances are this game will be uncomfortably tight at the end.

I think there is also a fair chance that Iowa opens a two score margin early aided by a MN turnover, a key stop, or big return and then its off to the races and the rout is on. Iowa's defense is looking better each week.
