Trying to figure out what happened with this team.

They returned 8 starters on offense and defense. 4 of 5 o-linemen, which are huge. Three d-linemen.
Entire secondary is intact. Did they have a lot of injuries?

With Floyd on the line and a big rivalry game, Hawks need their "A" game.

Kinnick should be electric, black out and full house will be primed and ready to go.

First 10 wins in a row also on the line.

Go Hawks!

This game should worry everybody, definitely not going to be easy. Also, yes Minnesota has had the injury bug this year. I believe one week a month or so ago they had something like 35 guys held out of practice.

Remember the beat down the Gophers gave us last year?..... I hope our Hawkeyes remember this as well and come prepared to play......

Yup, lots of people are wanting to be at this game because of the 10 wins deal. The tickets continue to go up in price.

This. I would bet that last years film will be playing on a loop in the Football building this week. A little payback would be extra sweet this year.

Goofs Oline hasn't been healthy all year. Leidner takes a lot of heat for his play but in one game they were missing 3 of their 5 starters on the line.
Watch out for KJ May. Mn will try to get him the ball in open space. Hope King covers him.

They have also had a lot of injuries this year I believe on the defensive side but their offense was doomed from the beginning because they didn't have another great back and their top receiving threat left and Leidner still struggles in the passing game. Their D is still solid. They almost beat Michigan two weeks ago and played Ohio State pretty tough.

Minnesotas' offense is one dimensional to begin with. They have an inadequate run game. Their pass game is marginal at best. They have had trouble scoring this year. The only reason they played well against Michigan was all emotion due to Kill's retirement. They do have a decent defense, but they aren't world beaters either. There is no more gas left in their emotional gas tank and reality will set in at Kinnick. The Hawks have had this game circled since last season and I think they will beat them by a much larger margin than OSU did last week. This is gonna be a beatdown of epic proportions and wouldn't be surprised if we hang a goose egg on them. Hawks go 10-0! 72-0 :)

We def need to take all of the tangible benefits of the environment with a night game and the psychological edge of what happened last season to all its worth to get the edge and come out on top at end. I'm also hoping MN coming out of that 2 game gauntlet and 2nd game in a row on the road will gas them.

Last two games against Blue and Brutus should give us indication that Minnesota is starting to get healthy.

Minnesota should have beat Michigan and they put up a great fight against tOSU Saturday. Leidner has played much better the last 3 ball games. As much as I would love to see a beat down of the Gophers, I see a Minnesota team with nothing to lose, hating Iowa and coming in loving the idea of being the Hawkeyes spoiler. Iowa should win, but I think its a little delusional to think this will be an easy game. There one dimensional offensive put up 26 points on Michigan's stingy D.

I bet Iowa wins comfortably. Everything is in the hawks favor for this week and the blackout night game in Kinnick, I just don't think Minnesota has it in them to hang. Leidner has gotten beat up the last two weeks and looked rough at the end of the Ohio state game. They've poured everything in to winning the last 2 games for kill and it hasn't happened. I think they're ripe for a letdown. I think Iowa comes out very impressive Saturday and handles minny.

After reading scanning the Gopherhole for a short time its very apparent that they hate us FAR more than we hate them. Its kinds of funny really. I guess ripping out goalposts and losing 58-0 at home will do that. True, we got smoked last year, but the last 35 years or so have not been kind to them vs us.22-13 since 1980. 10-4 since 2000.

Cheapest ticket on stubhub is a single in the corner for $140.

Cheapest pair is in the corner for $200 each.

So glad I pulled the trigger early in the season and got them for face from the Iowa ticket office. I got them on the 40 yard line and got a group of four then.
