AD ripped up the t-wolves.
Not a good matchup for Luka.
Hayes, backup center, so long and athletic would also be tough matchup vs Luka...not his nite.

Likely true, but we will never know if it was his night because of a DNP.

Luka is one of those guys where you almost have to throw out for 5 minutes in the first half when the backups come in to see what you've got that night and if he's worth playing at all in the 2nd half. If he's on he can dump in 15-20 points in a short period of time and completely throw off the defense. If he's off, then he sits on the bench for the rest of the game barring foul trouble or injuries.

I kind of blame Luka’s agent. Cannot believe there was not a team out there that could use Luka. Sitting on the bench continually gets a nice paycheck but nothing else. All the nice things Wolves coaching and management say about Luka so far is just hot air, to be polite

Don't you think if there was a team willing to pay him and play him Luka would have left? He's a great teammate and incredibly efficient on offense. He can't guard a chair on the other end. He's absolutely worked his ass off to get even where he is today.

He's on an nba roster. The season just started, he will get plenty of opportunities.

He's good enough, but he's on the wrong team. Plenty of teams at the bottom would be able to use him. And his defense is good enough to get him starter minutes for them. Everyone wants him to go to Denver or some other contender, which would be great, but not if he's not going to get playing time.

Crazy that Luka can't get on the floor. Clearly one of the top 9 players on that team. He just needs some steady minutes, night after night, and he would prove it.
Offense might be good enough to be top 9, but seems the Minny coach doesn't think his defense is.

He's a good catch and shoot 3 point threat. A team could play him at the 4 for stretches, and their big could still operate normally. I know he's more of a traditional big, but his ability from 3 could help further provide spacing. He hasn't taken many 3 point shots so far this year, and it's a small sample size, but he's hitting 44.4%. The only drawback is his ability to defend the wing, because of quickness issues.

Minnesota (3-2) beat Denver (2-3) at home tonight, 119-116.

Minny was down 116-109 with 2:30 to go; they ended the game on a 10-0 run for the win.

Minnesota played 8 players 23 or more minutes; a 9th player (37 year old Joe Ingles) played 5 minutes.

The 5 others on the bench, including Luka, did not play (coach's decision).

That was a great finish to the 4th. Great defense by the Wolves as well.

Luka will get some pt later in the season. Injuries happen and some guys start to rest a bit more.
If he could play decent defense he’d play every night but he just doesn’t have the athletic ability NBA players are blessed with. I don’t think anyone works harder than Luka which no doubt in my mind has resulted in him having an NBA contract.
Honestly I’m more surprised the rookie pg rob dillingham hasn’t played yet.

His only chance to get consistent pt would be for a coach that uses zone as part of their every day game plan like Spolstra.

Every nba team has extremely talented guys sitting on their bench that don't get on the court much.

Minny losing is not going to go well for the Kings, I'm afraid. Sac is hosting them tomorrow night in Sactown. This game will be an Emirates Cup game. on the NBA League Pass. Good for Kris getting RBs and a little scoring. He plays defense well from what I've seen. Hopefully DeMar can go tomorrow night. Even though Orlando Robinson has been cleared for contact for the Kings, I don't know when Mike will play him.

Did the wolves actually play Portland 3 times in 6 days?
And lose twice?
Weird.
