Moderate Nikki Haley

She bent the knee, even after Trump mocked her husband, and kept calling her bird brain. Hardly a profile in courage.
Kamala is an empty suit. Garbage candidate that’s afraid of interviews or taking questions. Has flipped on 8 or 9 positions she held just 4 years ago so who the F knows what she actually believes. Dems didn’t even like her…now she’s brat. 😂

The GOP isn't salvageable and any enabler of this atrocity unworthy of office in any upcoming election.
Even the majority of the “normal” Republicans, like Nikki, bent the knee, gave up their own values, and now support Trump. That’s not counting the wackos on the far right.

Compare that with the Democrats who have primaried out the few loons on the far left. Again, showing the Democrats are more moderate than the nutcase evangelicals backing Project 2025.

This is A LOT of horseshit. This is comical that people whine about not knowing what she believes. She believes in the Democratic platform that we have seen since Clinton, for the most part. WTF scary crap do you think she’s hiding ready to unleash on everyday Americans? Dude, you’re not this dumb. Unless you’re freaking out because since being VP she’s changed her opinion on fracking. Ooooooooohhhh…that’s frightening. 🙄

Be prepared for candidates to avoid talking to the press moving forward if this works for her.
You REALLY think Kamala is afraid of the press? Really? No you don’t. Strategically I couldn’t care less if she does or not because she’s been kicking Trump’s ass. If it bothers you that’s a you problem. She’s afraid of taking questions. The crap you all come up with. Incredible.

It's a lot more than fracking Tom. She said she wanted to decriminalize illegal border crossings, get rid of private health insurance and go to "medicare for all", get rid of (re-imagine) ICE, mandatory gun buy back for "assault weapons"...I'm probably missing a few but it's hard to keep up.

It's not unreasonable to expect her to explain the policy shifts.

Yes, it's obvious.

Lester Holt left a mark..

(edit: It's probably more accurate to say the folks running her campaign are afraid of her talking to the press unscripted)

Just speaking truth.
No you aren’t. You are speaking GOP smear points. DEI hire didn’t work. Radical leftist didn’t work. ‘Not black’ didn’t work. Dumb woman didn’t work. Now you are back to flip flopping because it worked on Kerry. You aren’t interested in her interview and what she has to say. You just want talking points to criticize her.

...and you're just regurgitating Harris campaign talking points.

She's flipped on many positions and that's just a fact. I'd like to hear her actually explain why she's changed those positions. Doesn't seem unreasonable...

I haven’t listened to her campaign so I’m not sure how I’d be regurgitating her campaign’s talking points.

People change their minds. I’d much rather have someone fluid in their decision making than someone rigid who is inflexible. What particular points are you concerned with that she has changed her position?

All of them...just would like to hear, in her own words, on why she flipped. I think it's for political expedience but I'd like to hear her explanations.

There is no point in it now. Of course Republicans who only care about the possibility of her saying something dumb, have been wanting this.

She is out in the public, visible and talking policies. What more do you want?
What policy has she specifically talked about minus taking Trumps no tips on tax policy?

She had many policy positions in the 2020 primary yet through staffers has walked many of those back. Wouldn’t you as a voter want to know why?

Isn’t pretty much everything done for political expedience by virtually all politicians? You rail on Harris, Trump try’s to muddle around his unpopular stance on abortion, He had a chance to truly address the border, A border bill was proposed by both parties that while far from perfect would have led to some true immigration reform and Trump had it killed for purely political reasons. He is running away from project 2025 Why? Because it isn’t what he wants or because it will likely hurt him at the voting booth’s?

Aren’t all Supreme Court appointments pretty much done for political gain?

IMO you really don’t care where Harris stands on issues, She is never going to get your vote, What you do want is talking points to try to tear her down. I get it. That’s politics.

Why? It isn't like you are persuadable. She is speaking to people daily through MASSIVE rallies and through her comms team.
What are you going to piss and moan about after she does some interviews?
She’s giving a stump speech off a teleprompter. Way to hold your politicians accountable lucas lol.

Trumps garbage but at least he takes questions. We can dissect his answers and make judgements accordingly.

No such chance with Kamala.

At this point I won't vote for either of them.

All we have heard from leftists for eight years is Trump is Hitler and Trump is a threat to democracy but whenever Team Blue candidate gets criticized, your defense is “what about Trump.” It is so odd.

Yes Trump is trash but why does that excuse Harris from not having to defend policy positions or better yet even have to take a stance on policies other than generalities that are in her stump speech? Shouldn’t you want more from your candidate?

Hard core MAGA won’t accept her mainly because Trump won’t. Trump has a failing memory but he always remembers the grudges. She levied some pretty personal shots during the primaries.

I believe that Haley will position herself as a moderate conservative - game over for Nikki as far as MAGA is concerned.
This is why Republicans are ****ed going forward. Most of the MAGA people I know of never voted before trump. Once he's gone they'll go back to not voting. These people are so afraid of that base but in my opinion there is no reason to be because they aren't getting them anyway. Only one man has their vote and no one else ever will

Maybe I just didn’t pay close enough attention, but I simply don’t remember other candidates aside from Trump do that many press conferences. Brief Q and As after rallies and such, sure, and Harris has started doing those. But press conferences are something that especially at this stage of the campaign that there simply isn’t the time for, with schedules pretty much nonstop for the most part.

Trump I guess changed that for some with his frequent press availabilities - tho people forget how circus like those have usually been, with his word salad responses, berating reporters when he doesn’t like the question, etc. to call them useful is ridiculous.

He slurs his way through not answering the question, or turns into into a brag about himself, or a grievance. Kudos for being able to dissect that. Enjoy voting for Trump. If you say you aren't, fine, convince yourself that leaving the POTUS line blank isn't a vote for Trump in Florida, especially with women's health care on the ballot.

Not voting for Trump but I need a little more than "she isn't Trump" to vote for her. Sorry.

Good synopsis of Trump answering questions, sure would be nice to juxtapose that with Harris. I suspect she'll do an interview sooner or later...I don't expect many tough questions, if any. We'll see.

I can get the idea of not wanting to vote for someone because they aren’t X…but Trump as always is a special case. If nothing else, if you want to see the GOP try to reign in the MAGA wing, Trump simply MUST be defeated in November. Otherwise, someone like Haley simply isn’t ever going to get the nod.
