Mosai Newsom Could Commit To Nebraska This Weekend

Has anyone seen Newsom play a high school game. Looked at his production last year and even though it is hard to tell sometimes he only averaged about 4 tackles a game???? At the level he plays at that seems very unproductive for a P5 D-lineman. Watched him play basketball in the state tournament and comparing him to seeing Epenesa play basketball it wasn't even close. He is far from a athlete if you are comparing the two and I know that Epenesa might be on a different level...just do not see the "it".

Big frame with a huge motor. This is exactly the type of kid that in Iowa's program would become a monster with Doyle. Watch some of his film on youtube, he needs to work, but he fits the Iowa mold by never giving up on a play.

I'm sure the boys at Kinnick are so worried they won't even take the field that day. Come back with this crap after your guys do something of note. OK.........

Huskers are just happy they can go the partial qualifier route that was taken away by the B12

You are on an Iowa message board commenting about academics in a thread about a recruit that has an offer from Yale. Seriously, STFU.
Not specifically talking about this recruit. Nebraska (Osbourne) was livid that the partial qualifier exception was basically eliminated by UT & aTm when the B12 was formed. UT was adamant that it was a condition for them to join the old B8 in formation of the new conference. Everyone sided with UT with Neb being the only dissenter. Osbourne harbored ill will for years over that and spearheaded Neb's departure to the B10. Nebraska had thrived taking many partial qualifiers yearly in the old B8.

Read the title of the thread. You are continually shifting the discussion toward trolling topics, just as you have with the Brock thread. Go back to cyclone fanatic.

Really? Go back and watch the OSU game from last year, or the Michigan game from the previous. Maybe the LSU bowl game....

Anybody can beat anybody for one game. Over the course of an entire season, the team with superior talent typically ends up more successful. You can get that talent by developing low-mid ranked recruits, but it would be a helluva lot easier to just get “better” recruits to begin with.

You can feel free to brag about beating Ohio St or Michigan, but they still has better seasons than Iowa did those years.

Don't post there and the topic concerns recruits with Nebraska references. No reason to start crying over it.

And yet you continue to disrupt this thread. Now if you had info concerning Newsome to ISU that would be worth discussion, however, you continue to bring nothing to the discussion.

Don't read or respond then....it really is that simple

My god Neb is back, they should "have no problem with the Big 10 west defenses"....those people are really sick and need help. I am serious...they are delusional. Some are taking a wait and see attitude, but 80% of those guys think they will win a NC in year one.

Says the Cyclone fan posting on an Iowa message board. I am missing the connection about intelligent conversation.
This would be a free Rivals board. If you are struggling with it, go into your pocket and pay the sub. You will need to put a little more thought into your posts though....maybe you are better suited for a free board.

I'm not bragging, simply pointing out facts. Winning college football is not 80% recruiting. Yes the team with the better overall roster has a better chance, but to disregard player development or in game coaching is a fools errand. It works both ways as far as Iowa is concerned of course. While you could say that the Iowa staff coached circles around Urbans boys last year, you could also say that NDSU and some past MAC level teams out coached KF in years past, and I'd love to see your argument that they have the superior roster. o_O

I would flip your numbers, majority of Husker fans understand 7 or more wins this season would be considered overachieving, especially with our schedule.

I honestly can’t imagine a young man from Iowa attending Nebraska, but it did occur to me today that one of the Husker coaches is from Allison, Iowa only 19 miles from Waverly. So perhaps a fake connection is being presented.

Well aren't we going to have to cancel the Black Friday watch party? Since the big ten are getting rid of them in a couple years

This right here and you’re posting history speaks for itself. Trust me if anyone is laughing it’s everyone else at, not with you. Ignore facts and keep on posting with ketchup and mustard glasses on.

Cytwins just ignores what doesn’t fit in the clown fan approved alternative reality.

Can the clowns afford baseball yet? You still think Pollfraud is awesome.

Yikes.

Heard Nebraska sports radio and it sounds like they are pretty confident. Said he is most likely out of all their visits to commit this weekend. Him and his dad really like Nebby. This is his third visit and they've really connected with Eric Chinander.

Looks like Husker radio guys were wrong and he didn't commit this weekend. Shocker

I hope folks will take this the right way. I think Frost will be successful. But successful in the sense that Nebraska will be competing for division titles. He has been exposed to a number of different ways of doing things, which is good. And he has the full support of the Nebraska fans and administration, which none of his predecessors since Osborne enjoyed.

But went over to the Omaha World Herald and holy cow the state-run media is out in full force there. Based solely on a spring game, the media appears to have determined that Nebraska found its great QB to run the new-age offense. No letting things play out, full bore greatness awaits. Not sure how they will process a 7-5 or 6-6 season. Frost could do a very good job and go 6-6 or 7-5 this year given the schedule and the level of "give-up" that took hold on the team last year.

I agree with this.

Think he will win there, but nobody will win there like what happened before. It just isnt going to happen but the real key will be how Neb fan handles that after their savior cant get them back to what they want to be.

There is a reason he said 80%. Look at the recruitting of the teams that have won national championships since recruitting has been recorded.

Well................. think about this; Frost has never lost a game in his second season. Next year could be rough on the GBR Riley lovers.

If Frost truly walks on water, he can lead the Memorial Stadium faithful in a mass suicide if things don't work out.:p:p:p:p

Yeah it all comes down to do you have the expectations of some of the people who post here or the fans you'd meet actually at the games in Lincoln where you'll find more who have more tempered realistic expectation. They can win but before they start worrying about beating Ohio St, PSU & Michigan's like they thought would happen when they entered the league they first need to take care of the Wisconsin, Iowa and N'Western's first.

Thing is every year from Spring ball to fall camp you have the shiny new toy which is the new coach at a different school. We saw all the coverage last year with Texas and even with the boat rower up North. Year later it is lot more quite with both schools though Texas will always get it's fair share of coverage because of their relationship with espn and longhorn network. Just as we saw with Mr Kahkis at Michigan who had a good 1st year, great 2nd year and the buzz kept on going but finally dipped last year and as we saw with his massive espn coverage even that has subsided. So I'm sure most outside the Midwest will care a far lot less a year from now after they have a season with multiple losses especially with their schedule.

80% WOW SEEMS ALMOST LIKE YOU MADE THAT NUMBER UP ON THE FLY. IF I DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER.
