I'm getting a company car next week and will be commuting to/from work with that car. We are allowed personal usage of the company car as well. I'm thinking of trading in my current car for something with a few miles but will be fun to drive. I'm thinking a Jeep Wrangler (no I'm not gay), or a BMW/Audi with a few years on it. What cars have you had that we fun to driver, but a little impractical.

Anything else: total dud.

Got a loaner, one time, from a dealer . A Vette. The one time in my life that I drove 100+ mph.

Model 3. But you have to consider the taxes that you'll have to pay on the personal use...

This was the most fun car I ever owned, but they don't make them any more. :(

Reminds me of second car I bought. This was the exact model I bought just before moving to San Francisco. 1994 Probe GT. Was fun to drive, not bad for a Ford. I used to tell people to squint real hard at it because that made it look like it might be a Porsche.

My vote would be for some sort of old compact convertible coupe that you can zoom around in like it's Mario Kart, and then just dump it when you're done/ or sell it for parts. My buddy who lives in LA bought a 2001 Saab for the purpose of getting to work and back for very cheap, he got a couple years out of it, said he loved driving it.

If you are gonna go the Jeep route (I wouldn’t) get a Gladiator .

Personally I’d go the BMW/Audi route.

I've owned two Corvettes. They are fun to drive. I have driven 100+ mph 100+ times. I had some awesome brakes. Was doing 140 mph on I-10 and spotted a cop in the distance. Was able to get it to 70 mph or so before radar gun clocked. He knew I was hauling ass before, but didn't light me up.

My GF no pics in SF, the one who dated Woody Harrelson before me no I couldn't taste him weed or patchouli, had Mini Cooper super sport or whatever the high end sport package model is called. Man that was fun to drive. I'm 6'1", 185, though. Anybody taller/bigger than that is probably not going to be comfortable at all in one of those little Mini Coopers. Such a fun car to zip around the Bay Area. She was fun.

See, this is just stupid. '64 Impala with some switches is so much more practical. This truck says overcompensating. The Impala says why yes, of course I eat ass.
Thanks, Rudolph. You were my 5,000th like!:D

Although tiny, the Audi A3 is a really fun car to drive. I rented one through zip car in Brooklyn years ago and loved it. It can go.

I've always thought those looked cool.

One of the first cars I ever had was a Datsun (yes, Datsun, not Nissan) 280ZX Turbo. That little thing was way overpowered and the ass end slid all over the place.

Something a couple miles, but still reliable to commute in.....

MiniCooper, possibly convertible.
A3 A4 (but are legit, not a crazy option in general)
Polaris Sling Shot
Areal Atom

Fappable comment, I think @Herkmeister will concur.

@Rudolph and I like some things more than cars.
