MSU agrees to pay $500 million to Nassar victims....

This probably won't change the 5 star player pay scale too much though. That's most likely based on a different budget.

This type of stuff is cultural.

Whether it's at Minnesota or Michigan State, there is clearly a pervasive level of tolerance and/or turning of a blind eye that seem to exist at certain places for the sole purpose of preserving the good of the athletic department. That's the difference between isolated incidents that can occur anywhere (i.e. Alford/Pierre Pierce) and what you see consistently happening at the aforementioned universities (among other places).

If their fans are anything close to as delusional and trashy as Ped State fans, expect a full-fledged hijacking of this thread soon, inundated with insane rationalizations, farm jokes, and atrocious grammar and spelling commonplace with their fan base (only Nebraska fans are more illiterate).

This should be fun.

"Tom's and Mark's programs sure do bring in the big cash, don't they?"
"These young women would like to talk to you."
"Tell them I'm not in."

FYI...Nasser was not an employee of the athletic department. He was an employee of the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Sandusky was just running a charity. Good thing MSU is well endowed, they will need it in hell.
