Since narrowly losing to Iowa recently Sparty squeaked out wins against Nebby and PSU, scoring 66 and 60 respectively.

I see another close game, for some reason I think the hawks still get it done. MSU won’t be as hot shooting as their visit to Carver and I think Weezy continues his tear from three.

I HATE complaining about officiating; but we all know what is coming when we play them at their place. I say MSU easily shoots 2:1 free throws against us and wins 78-74.

MSU is horrid on offense. They have only topped 1 PPP once in their last 7 games, though that was the previous game vs the Hawkeyes. They won't hit 41% from 3 again as that was an extreme outlier amongst their recent poor shooting efforts.

Fran needs to put a bug in their ear before the game even starts about watching the mugging in the lane area

Michigan State's physicality has given Wieskamp fits. I can't recall him having one good game against them during his career. Henry is a tough matchup for him because of his strength and athleticism. If Wiesy picks up from where he left off the last couple of games, that will be very encouraging for the Hawks. Don't see them losing if Wiesy can get at least 16 to 17 points in this one. That's a big if.

Izzo worked the officials over pretty good in our first meeting, so I can only imagine how horrible it's gonna be Sunday.

MSU is starting to play well. They will really push the pace. Izzo said after the last game that he thought they could run on us but the fouls negated that. We better rebound and we better pay attention to good transition defense. I like our chances but we have to play smart and be physical and make some shots.

I predict that MSU will:

1) Foul our guys relentlessly.
2) Izzo will be relentlessly all over the officials from start to finish.
3) They will attempt to run at every opportunity.
4) Garza, Joe W, and JBO will be beaten up, pushed, hacked, knocked around, on every possession.

The game will come down to officiating, our guys ability to keep their cool and execute under pressure, and hit free throws and outside shots. If they do, we win.
