There's a "show ignored content" link at the bottom of every page.

I routinely click that link.

Why bother putting people on my ignore list if I'm just going to show their comments anyway, you may ask? Because you can easily identify the people on your ignore list by doing it that way.
Comments from ignored people are labeled "You are ignoring content by this member" on a gray background. So you get to see their comments but know not to let your blood pressure go through the roof when they say something vile - as they are likely to do.

Someone else must have responded to his post which I thought was interesting. Then when I clicked on it……I appreciated the post for what it was beautiful.

It is a metric. Nothing more, nothing less.

And literally the ONLY time I ever go to that well is when someone says I'm hated or the biggest douche on the board.

I don't mind being called a douche; I know I can get on people's nerves, particularly the stupid as I no longer just let their stupidity pass unremarked.

But it is just a fact that a poster can't cultivate nearly a quarter-million positive reactions without being relatively well-liked. And as I also always point out, it sure as hell isn't something to be proud of! It IS dorky, but I like this place, so dorky or not, I appreciate the love.
