I had never heard of Myles Wilson ranked #17 until last weekend, so I didn't a little research and found he was at Super 32.

Round of 128 beating E. Saber 7-1

Round of 64 beating J Schrimsher fall 1:42

Round of 32 beating A. Shaw 12-6

Round of 16 beating B. McLaughlin ranked #16 7-3

Quarters lost to Champion B. Rogers ranked #5 4-3 which he was winning whole match until last 20 sec where he gave up a slick front head lock knee tap to lose. Rogers later beats Mantanona ranked #9 10-3 and Allar ranked #6 7-3.

Consi 8 beating S. Smith 5-3

Consi 4 beating G. Walton III ranked#20 5-3

Consi semi gets injured(knee) against E. Smith ranked #8 in the 2nd period and MFF outs of tournament. E. Smith#8 later goes on to take 3rd against B. McLaughlin #16 6-4 who Wilson #17 beat in round of 16 7-3.

Wilson is solid and would be a great addition to any room! Hope he enjoyed his visit!

Go Hawks!

After watching the Walton match again, you can see that is when his knee started bothering him.

I really like Myles Wilson fwiw.
Not to question ur rankings because I personally think you do a great job. But why is McLaughlin ranked above Wilson when Wilson beat him 7-3 at Super 32? I understand McLaughlin placed higher after Wilson MFF out. What's the date and the time for the Flo announcement show?

tbh - i screwed that up. i missed that R16 result somehow. i had wilson ranked for a while. mclaughlin was UR.

Signing Day - there are going to be adjustments. i'll talk about it on FRL.

Yep I saw Wilson was ranked 15th before Super 32. McLaughlin is really tough. Would have been a much closer match if Wilson didn't catch him on the roll. To bad Wilson got hurt in the consi semi. I would have liked to see him and Smith finish that match. Looking forward to show. Might be hard to continue doing it with all the kids committing early :). Thanks again!

Speaking of Fargo Falbo won 7 on the backside to take 4th! I've been watching matches of Wilson 170 and Falbo 182 and I can't shake the feeling that Wilson looks bigger then Falbo.

Funny -- I remember watching that match live.

Really cheap shot by Coleman at the end -- basically punches Wilson in the back of the head. Wilson just stands up, shakes hands, and trots off with the win. I like it.
Coleman came out as a major punk. I don't know where he went but he would fit right in with Downey and Harrington in Ames.

Bullshit, prove it. I may have. I'll probably keep saying the same thing. Wilson will NOT beat him again. I'll put money on it.

The kid grew up across the street and started wrestling really late. I just don't think he has the intensity he needs to have or the understanding of his gifts. It could be his will to win or the lack of the fear of losing, I don't know why he's so passive. He can be Easy Ed, and I think that's what his style is. There's another level there that I think would have been easier to find in Iowa City, but whatever. I stand by my posts.

In the end I'm confident he'll make you bastards stfu. If it's against Iowa, I hope he proves me wrong and gives up a quick six.

Just imagine how good this Myles Wilson kid would be if he grew up across the street from Souci. He'd be an elite blue chipper, no doubt.

Would Really like to have Myles commit. Kinda reminds me of a guy like E. Lofthouse but a little better. He's got a decent ceiling. He is a bit unpolished and would THRIVE in the Iowa room. Love his attitude!!

He seems to move his feet a lot more than E. Loft did. Also seems to lack the heavy hips that Loft had. If he ends up being a multiple time AA like Lofthouse, that'd be huge!

Do you think this is why Coleman moved?

It is. His dad is one of Waterloo's greatest athletes and used to pound me in practice, he had a 40# advantage. I vowed that my boys would do the same to his one day. They wrestled in our front yard one day and my boy, four years younger, crossedfaced and elbow grinded his ass to Ames. Face smush for a going away present.
