Karoline Leavitt, a 25-year-old former Trump White House staffer who on Tuesday secured the GOP nomination in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, has scrubbed any mention of the former president from her Twitter biography.
Leavitt, who in the primary race embraced Trump’s baseless claims of the 2020 presidential election being stolen, used to have a Twitter biography that read: “NH Grown. Gen Z. America First Candidate for Congress NH-01. Former Assistant Press Secretary @WhiteHouse45 & Comms Director @RepStefanik.”
Hours after winning the race, the profile had been updated to read “NH Grown. Gen Z. Republican Nominee NH-01.” Gone was the reference to Trump’s “America First” slogan, or to Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), the House’s No. 3 Republican who has espoused the former president’s agenda and beliefs.
A spokesperson for Leavitt’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the change.
The edit highlights how some Republican candidates are trying to distance themselves from the former president once they win their primaries and face general election voters. Leavitt is trying to oust Rep. Chris Pappas (D-N.H.) in a race that Republicans see as one of their best opportunities to flip a seat and capture the House majority.
Trump did not endorse any candidate in the New Hampshire primary race but was quick to tout Leavitt’s win Wednesday.
“Amazing job by Karoline Leavitt in her great New Hampshire victory,” Trump said in a post to his social media platform. “Against all odds, she did it — and will have an even greater victory on November 8th. Wonderful energy and wisdom!!!”

Seems the strategy is be pro Trump in the primary and "Who's Trump?" in the general election.

Rest assured...the Dems will be more than willing to pull up primary campaign ads and show voters the truth.

Gets more likely every day that Dems are in a good spot ahead of the midterms.
