NCAA in jeopardy now, need probably 2 more...

If CJ is out do you feel the OSU isn’t critical for Iowa’s NCAA chances?

Yes, it is. But if we win the rest of our games but lose to OSU, we are easily in. Hence the OSU game (nor no single game) is a must for the tourney.

Zero percent chance we miss the NCAA tourney. Zero
LOL, elaborate. Who are we beating in our current state? OSU is a must win like I said earlier in this thread due to current state. So if we don't beat OSU, then what? No way we win Sunday if we do I'll happily eat crow, be wrong whatever as i want this team in the tourney so ****ing bad but we are down so many horses...

NCAA bid is seriously NOT in jeopardy. Most ridiculous thread title of the year. Winner. From 5-6 seed to out. So, we lose the rest of our games? Brilliant. Just ****ing brilliant. This thread is proof. WELCOME TO THE ****ING FREAK SHOW WASTE OF TIME OUT.... OUTTTT.

It’s two road losses. No game is ever a given on the road this season. Look at the overall home and away records of those in the Big this season. We’re fine.

The team isn’t going to quit and they continually battle back when they are down. They are mentally tough. The fans on this site (not all) throw in the entire season towel whenever we lose one game, heaven forbid two in a row, no matter how many we have rattled off before that.

In the end this is just a sport. If we were to win the entire NCAA tournament, a year from now does it really even matter? Not to trivialize fandom, but it should never be something that makes or breaks our night, week, or life. It’s here for enjoyment and we need to always keep that in mind. None of this has a lasting effect.

But to summarize, we’re going to make the tourney.

We don't know the extent of CJ's injury. The PU game is 19 calendar days from now. Seems reasonable that CJ could be back by then if it's an ankle sprain.

Unless people have information on his injury, we should just wait IMO.

Seems to me I’ve heard this before in years past.
If Garza holds up, Iowa wins at least two more games on the sole basis that Wieskamp is too good to play like he did tonight for the rest of the season... especially if Fredrick gets back. Kriener, Connor, and Toussaint all have good games left in them imo

Oh it is? LOL. We are down so many horses look at who we play to finish off the season, joke grasp of our current reality.

Ped and Purdue at home are tough, next Thursday vs OSU is 100% a must win if CJ is done, which it would seem to me he is (fingers crossed just a sprain)

“Must win” is greatly misunderstood and misused.
It isn't here, lose to MN which I assume we will at this point. OSU at home, @ MSU, @ ILLANNOY VS PED and PURDUE down to the few players we have left OSU is a MUST considering our circumstances.

They have one loss on the season at home, so I like their chances to take 2/3 more. They can still steal one on the road

Ped is the best BIG road team so cool and Purdue beat us by 36 so yep. Hope your right I'm an analytical guy and the odds aren't there.

Some real drama queens in this thread. We will be in the tournament. Get with your wife or mistress and relax.
Great take, so win they lost Sunday, thoughts? OSU at home Thursday, then at MSU, anything else your dumbass wants to contribute?

I’m an optimist. We definitely win at home against OSU, and have a shot a shot against MSU.
I wish I could live in fantasy most of time since an optimist has to connect on like 1 of 10 things to think they are synced in to reality. OSU is a must win at home, period which was my original post. Win at MSU with our current roster and MSU grab and hug D no way in hell.

What ever dawg. We have a good team. We’re gonna get in the tournament.

If CJ is ok after minny we win all 3 at home.

If not still probably 2 out of 3.

These drama queens overacting to road losses seem to have no grasp of the current landscape of the big ten.

Another of Fran’s patented February collapses. The Hawks are terrible right now. Can they snap out of it? That remains to be seen. I’m guessing they need 20 wins to make the NCAA tournament.
Do you know what Fran’s record is in February while at Iowa?

LOL you hurt my head
My point is that if the Hawks lose at home to OSU, then I think that they beat PSU and Purdue. If they lose to PSU, then I think they beat OSU and Purdue... and so on

And as tough as it is to win on the road in this conference, if Iowa, somehow, doesn’t catch a team shooting lights out, there is always the possibility that they steal one

I think what you typed is unlikely. OSU is a must win and they have high metrics and NET which even makes it more important.

CJ is out long term most likely on latest info. Lose Sunday, must win Thursday. What will it take to make the Dance?!

Mark my words we are limping in at best considering remaining schedule and personnel left to play. OSU IS A MUST WIN.
