Nebraska offered Cedar Falls' stellar junior guard, A.J. Green, after his team beat 3A #1 Waverly Saturday night,. Waverly was led by 6-10 UNI recruit, Austin Pfyfe. As good as Green is, I think that Iowa maybe can't offer because of lack of scholarships, and we do have Connor McCaffery coming in next year. I still think that McCaffery is the best senior point guard in the state, and I would think that he is the front-runner for Iowa's Mr. Basketball. Green is quicker and a good penetrater. In his class is also Joe Weiskamp, but Joe is not a point guard. You can watch Green play at Wahlert this Tuesday, at Waterloo East this Friday, or in Cedar Rapids (Washington) next week. We need a killer, penetrating guard who can shoot. Should we save for a four-star if we can get one? What do you think? We do have Austin Ash of Mt. Vernon coming in next season as a preferred walk-on. He went for 32 last night.
