Negative TO Margin Stat: Iowa

Prior to yesterday's win, Iowa was 3-26 SU when they lost the TO margin in a game vs another P5 opponent going back to 2011. Here are the three wins and the teams' record:

• 2021 - vs [7-5*] Minnesota = Won 27-22 | -1 TO Margin
• 2017 - vs [5-7] Minnesota = Won 17-10 | -1 TO Margin
• 2014 - at [6-7] Illinois = Won 30-14 | -1 TO Margin
• 2013 - vs [7-6] Michigan = Won 24-20 | -3 TO Margin *Last time we won with -2 TO margin
  • For context, we were -3 in our two losses this year.
  • The only two wins ever under KF with a -3 TO Margin or greater were 2009 Indiana & 2006 Syracuse.

We've had a handful of wins with a negative TO margin in the Non-Con vs non-p5, so i did not include those [i.e. ILL ST]
