Interesting choice. Though last year Wisconsin played St. Marys. So Oregon St plays both Iowa and ISU this year then. They have a home and home vs the clones and play in Hilton after beating them last year in Corvalis.
This match-up would have been more fun when Ralph Miller was coaching OSU.

Not mid majors. Will be surprised if any P6 schools are part of it. Think bottom half 1-bid conferences.
Only 11 non conference teams, 9 have been identified, only the Gavitt game and ACC opponents have not yet been identified. Not sure what teams are associated with this so called Iowa tournament....
So you're saying it's a 9 game tournament where all 4 teams plays everyone....instead of how the old Hawkeye Challenge went where there were 4 teams and Iowa played the first night and played either the winner or loser the second night. Not understanding the format?
Oregon State, ISU, ACC opponent & Big East opponent will give us 4 quality non conference games.
Which is plenty considering we’ll be a high ranked team. Fran did a really nice job setting up these schedules. This years schedule was the toughest in awhile and now it’s more about getting wins and keeping our guys healthy.
Got it, last years Los Vegas format only it's in Iowa City this year....not a great tournament resume, but with what Iowa has coming back it should allow any or all of the 5 freshmen lots of playing time. Absolutely no chance of losing any of this games.
I like how it's a "neutral site" in location only (6ish miles) but if it's anything like the last time they were in town Hawk fans will pack the place. I'm already on the lookout for tickets.
Why? We have posters on here that complain about playing at a mid-major because of the capacity and it being a "cracker box gymnasium" How is this any different? Revenue?
