While not a good comment dont let foley ruin the thread. His football knowlwdge is VERY limited (he seems to able to speak of basic line techniques and thats about it) so he tries to turn every thread into anything but a football conversation. That 2 deep is scary. Yet again im playing the "if canzeri can just.........." game in my head.

Well, we have C- coaching so...with the easy schedule should be...
Over/Under this year 6.5 games.
ISU is terrible and that means that game is a toss up over in Ames.4-4 in league play.
Iowa will barely beat awful teams, this is another very vanilla team just like our vanilla coaching staff and schemes. Iowa will get embarrassed by good teams again this year. What's new?
Just over .500, possibly. Just like KF all-time average. In Kaptain Ho-Hum We Trust, i guess.. ?
+1 so many Iowa fans setting themselves up for disappointment. This will be another completely forgettable fall in Iowa City.
Ames looks tough to beat and they are terrible.
Has anyone ever seen the defensive back 7 look this weak? The OL looks undersized and inexperienced, not a good combination.

I'd suggest you hop aboard the Bama or Oregon bandwagon! I'd hate to see you depressed. The back seven is not weak. Inexperienced or young does not equate to weak. We might have as good of secondary as we've had in ten years. The OL is by no means undersized. Inexperienced at tackle, yes. No go hop on the Cyclone board and start trolling there.

And by the way the SS is not responsible for the TE in cover 4 you imbecile. He is responsible for his deep quarter of the field. It's a 4 deep coverage dumbass. In Iowa's scheme, 1/4s coverage is usually played against trips and the field is divided 1/4, 1/4, 1/2, with the trip side C having a 1/4, the FS having a 1/4 and the single side C having a half. The Will LB will help the single corner by playing 'under' the single reciever taking away hook, slant. The SS is the force player to the trip side and has flat.

The OL is by no means undersized?! What planet do you live on?
the depth chart has both OT listed at 300 pounds, those numbers are fudged so they are probably in the 280-290 range in reality.
this may be the smallest O Line since 2000. Unless the Ferentz have some miracle potion the OL is in serious trouble.
the 2015 WR core aside from Smith may be the weakest in the league. Where would Vandenberg play on OSU? MSU? 6th team?
Denial aint just a river in Egypt, pal. If we struggle to push around mid major cream puffs AGAIN this fall it will be quite telling how the season will go. Remember the feeling of complete ineptness in the Ball State game for 55 minutes. or the ENTIRE Minnesota & LSU games? yeah. more of the same. Iowa was very fortunate not to play OSU last year or this year again.
That roster looks like the weakest returning line up since around 2000. Think this next season there's a struggle for 5 wins. Let's hope for a big turn around season but mediocrity itself may prove elusive in 2015.
