New polls show Kamala Harris leading or tied in most swing states with Donald Trump, who heads to North Carolina today. See more updates

Even if they like some GOP policies better, I know many folks who are just exhausted by the constant drama and insanity of Trump and just want it to go away.

I think that is an underrated component of this election season.

Does anyone really want four more years of chaos, weirdness and embarassment?
lol…just the opposite…high grocery, rent, and insurance costs create financial chaos. Open border & crime creates personal chaos, foreign wars (under the Biden/Harris administration) creates chaos & embarrassment due to our weak foreign policies. Lastly, don’t forget about how the Dems created social weirdness of men in women’s sports, transgender drag queen shows for kids, etc.

I heard on the radio this morning that the 'Double-Haters', those that didn't want Trump or Biden, are breaking toward Harris by a 54-24 margin.

That could be the election right there.
What radio station? In any case, that’s why upcoming debates will be important.

All of these are losing talking points, though. Trump has been hammering these points for years and is getting destroyed.

Fortunately, only MAGA will buy that. That stuff isn't going to convince anyone "on the fence", imo.

Right now, his campaign reeks of desperation.
If Trump campaign is truly in “desperation” mode…why does this thread read like a hysterical Dem fest!?!

We’ll see. Your “destroyed” adjective makes you sound a bit worried. 😉

No, that's why the dems moved on from Brandon

He's lost massive ground in the polls. Some 6-7 points. Is anemic on fundraising. Is anemic on his rally schedule. And hardly leaves Mar A Lago. It's your business if you don't think these are major problems. I see a campaign and candidate in crisis.

She won a Senate seat in California. But when put on stage with a broad spectrum of opposition, she was overwhelmingly unpopular. She's going to have to speak & live in the public eye here very soon, it remains to be seen how people will ultimately react to her candidacy.
The election is about Trump. Harris is generic Democrat at the head of a party that holds policy positions that are the default popular positions of a majority of Americans.

MAGA is project 2025.

But it's all you've got isn't it? You'll have to try and smear Harris and Walz personally to have any chance at all of winning.

Absolutely false. I loathe trump, but will begrudgingly vote for him because the Democratic Party is beholden to the far left. Machin, for example, has (unsuccessfully) begged the power brokers within the party to return to the middle. He pleaded for Harris to not be awarded the nomination.

Trump being the Republican candidate is the only reason you have any chance.

Please describe "Far Left" in your thinking.

It's been widely reported that American's trust in the media is at an all time low. This election is sure to take it even lower.

The media has long trumpeted their important role within a democracy. But it would appear as though they are at worst, complicit in electing Harris, or at best, abdicating their responsibilities.

Harris is going to get away with this and will likely win the election.
What a whine fest.

Lol Manchin and Sinema had Biden's balls and his agenda in their hands for the last 4 years. If they beholden to anyone it's the "corporate centrists".

Trump has become unhinged since Harris replaced Biden
as the Democrat candidate for President. The polls are now
showing Harris with momentum as she is younger, and more
vibrant than Biden. Trump has met his match and he is going
to lose by a big margin in November. He is too negative and
divisive when compared to the positive stance of Harris.
Goddammit Lute this is the most beautiful haiku you’ve ever written. It will be framed and put on my wall!

If I were to grant your premise, I'd say at least with project 2025 the Republicans have a plan. You might hate it... to that I'd say welcome to the party pal... it's not putting tampons in boy's rooms but I digress.

When was the last time the Republicans had a stated agenda that wasn't just build a wall and tax breaks for the wealthy and big business?

With Harris winning in the three swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, all she would need is one more win in either Georgia, Arizona, or Nevada. The election has definitely shifted in her favor.
Assuming Omaha breaks for the Dems and Maine goes as predicted she does not need anything other than Penn, Mich and Wisc. That’s 270. But damn I hope she runs up the score on Trump by winning Georgia, N.C., AZ, and Nevada. Plus make things a bit tighter in FL and TX than Trump would like.

The never-Trump RINOs need a Trump beat down to restore the party to a semblance of it’s former self.

Of Georgia, N.C., AZ and NV I’d be shocked if they didn’t pick up at least one. Would be nice to make Florida something republicans have to work for ho I don’t expect a win there.

God I’d love it if Dems were to flip TX. It’s been slowly creeping in that direction, the meltdown from republicans if they ever lose that stronghold would be epic.

I think she can start lining up her cabinet.

It’s over. Best outcome will be for Trump to really go crazy at the end and his biggest supporters will be so embarrassed they shut up after the election.

Should set up well for the Republicans in 2028 with a new crop of leaders. And if Harris turns out to be a home run President, that’s great because I am retiring in 3 years and would like my stocks to do well.

Yeah, that's the whole reason for ignoring the border for the last 4 years... to win TX.

Ignoring it by creating a bill Trump
Forced his party to let die in the crib?

This bullshit line of attack does not fool most people.
Is Trump in office? I missed the part where he won in 2020. Are you denying the election now that Biden won? Cause there's about 100 news stories out there from the last 4 years where they said there was no crisis at the border and everything is fine. It's only been in the last 2-3 months that they've even acknowledged an issue.
