I know alot has to do with how we are matched up in the brackets but this will be quick.

125 Laux - Don't see him getting Gilmans point production
133 Happel Don't see him getting Clark's point production, but could get some bonus points that Cory's injuries kept him from getting at this tourney.
141 Turk If healthy Should add several points
149 Sorenson Should add more points. Kid is too good to not be in the finals
157 Kem Dog More points and in the finals
165 The bull More points and make a deep run
174 Young More points and could easily be top eight
184 Cash Less points. I am hoping this will be the one that surprises me. His experience this year did him so much good,he could hit it out of the park at nationals next year.
197 Holloway Less points if this is indeed his spot. Will he make the cut
Hwt More points because we can't have less. A healthy Stoll for once can make a deep run.

Going to be fun seeing the new faces of Hawk wrestling and alot of youth in the lineup. Going to be a year with less pressure because most give us no chance. Great time to prove those wrong.

doesn't 197 clear out alittle could see hollaway aleast duplicating cash's run.

Which leg is Happel going to amputate to make 133? I assume these Iowa freshmen are bulking up to get bigger and stronger in the off-season, so it seems unlikely we'll ever see Happel at 133. 141 may be tough enough for Happel to get to again if he bulks up in the off-season. Is it possible we'd see Happel up at 149 next year, growing into the weight to replace Sorensen after he graduates?

Wouldn't surprise me to see something like this:
125 - Wagner / Stickley (Can Stickley make 125?)
133 - Laux / Stickley (Laux looked pretty lean at 133, so 125 seems a stretch for him.)
141 - Turk / Rathbun (This assumes Turk can still make 141. Rathbun finished season wrestling 141, so he may be outgrowing 133.)
149 - Sorensen of course, with Happel growing into 149 for following season.

Are there any off-season freestyle tourneys that these guys will wrestle? If so, that might give us an indication what weights we could see them at next season.

Though I certainly agree Laux isn't necessarily a lock to make 125 and Happel at 133, I don't think Happel is at "cut off a leg" level to make 133. He was a pretty small 141 in opens this year. I don't see Turk having issues with 141.

I talked to Vince and Sam Friday night. Vince says 41 is where he will be next year. He said him and Carton were pretty much even this year before his injury. Sam is a great kid and I hope his knee holds up so he can show us what he can do on the big stage.

Trim his toe nails?
I know you have a better feel than most on possible weights, Sorensen to 141 is like 1 in a million?

Happel seemed undersized and horsed around sometimes at 141 last year. I don't know about the 133 thing but he is not big at 141. I see Turk moving up to replace Sorensen if anyone. Rathbun was very small at 141. He needs to go for 133.

125- Laux if he can make it. Otherwise Wagner, Stickley or Rathbun if he can make it. Perez for Depth.
133- Laux (I hope he can go 125), Rathbun, Glynn or Stickley.
141- Happel or Turk
149- Sorensen (Glosser backing)
157- Kem (Logan Ryan backing)
165- Marinelli (Moody backing)
174- Young or Gunther
184- Wilke/Bowman
197- Holloway/Bowman
285- Brantley/Costello/Stoll

Moving forward I see Cohlton Schultz as #1 priority. If Myles Wilson is a good looking 184 prospect we might be good there, if he struggles or is a 174 we could use some 184 attention. Otherwise a blue chip replacement for Sorensen is something to consider.
