NIL $1.67 Billion

All in only 3 years. I simply cannot explain it.

I wish they would change the name. This has nothing to do with Name, Image, Likeness.
Kind of like buying a friend. Some may call it what marriage is like.

This is excellent news! The free market has spoken!

You guys support the free market, don't you?

Its professional Ball. THat said, I don't see NIL being worse than head coaches making $10 million a year when players at the time were making nothing. Greenwood and Sash were two student athletes that didn't end up with a pot of gold.

I agree with this - to a point.

I have long thought that coaches were overpaid. But basically they are paid what the athletic departments can afford. So, in the past I have lobbied that as athletic department revenues increase a % should go to the school's general fund.

Billions flowing into football and basketball and the schools don't really get any of it.

How about the school get paid for it's Name, Image, Likeness?

Actually I do. But it's the same free market where teacher, nurses, firemen and cops struggle to make ends meet and athletes make zillions.

It does not speak highly of our priorities as a nation.

Athletes make billions because of fans. They are equally insane.
