Doesn't matter that he just signed an extension. If KF for whatever reason is done after next year or the year after, Iowa will make a strong run at BB.
Even if that were the case, kilroy, what excuses for his first two rose bowls? I would love to have bret. Look how passionate he is for schools that only pay him, let alone schools that he went to. Mark won't be bad either, but bret is a good get.
I would imagine that Iowa would make an attempt to go after both Stoops and BB when Ferentz contract is up.

Mark Stoops is in the opposite division of the SEC than BB. His record should be much better. It would be like comparing a team in the western division of the big to on in the east. If someone could name me any reason that BB would want to come to Iowa I would like to hear it. He makes as much as or more than Iowa could pay. He is in a conference that he receives more press. He is at a school that has just as much fan support as Iowa. He is in an area that recruiting is 500% easier to recruit the talent to compete at a high level. How many reasons do you want me to list that BB will never coach at Iowa.
I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't back channel talk. Barta hopes to God Ferentz has one more good season setting up him up to ride off into the sunset. From there, Double B comes home, which I think was a factor in him leaving for the SEC anyway. B1G doesn't poach internally.
