A buddy of mine joined the army late. I think he was around 30 years old. He wasn't a diehard liberal, but he hated Trump and considered himself a Democrat. He went off to boot camp, and when he came back, he had pulled a complete 180. I remember him telling me that you basically have to support Trump, otherwise you'd never make it out of there. Said he saw someone get harassed and assaulted by other soldiers for talking bad about Trump.

Now, I have absolutely NO idea how much of what he told me was true. It seemed totally unreal/unbelievable to me. But I also know how much he hated Trump before going in, and how much he changed when he got back. It was mind blowing. Especially for a 30 year old man, not some 18 year old with no life experience.

That is f'd up if true. When I was in Iraq, I'd say at least 45% of coworkers were against W. But I was also in a signal btn that had people with higher IQs

Sure. The time frame for what I posted was around 2016-2017ish though. It was right around/after Trump got elected the first time.

When i went to Basic Training the plan was landing in Afghanistan, when I got done with BT and AIT it was Iraq. I never heard one of the FT Drill instructors say anything about politics. On weekends when some Army Reserve E-5 with little dick disease I heard if from them
