No, we're not going to forget

Not my impression. I think everyone understands this. But it doesn't and shouldn't change the value of following the best science on vaccines.
I think now we do (in hind sight), but not the focus in 2020.

Also, I'd use the "everyone" moniker very loosely...there are still idiots terrified of 5G and magnetism and others who think COVID itself was/is a lie.

I would put a middle category between the anti-vax conspiracy nuts and the "all in" government officials always tell the full truth crowd and create a cautiously optimistic crowd who recognizes there are some potential side-effects like myocarditis in young males age 12 to 39 (as one example).

As always, people should talk to their physician and weigh potential side-effects against their current health. I like the fact that (once again) Bill Maher calls a spade a spade when discussing the pandemic; no one wanted to talk about the fact Americans are very unhealthy and it made us very susceptible to COVID killing a large swath of diabetic obese people.

Disclaimer: I was double poked in April/May 2020. Mostly to protect my vulnerable parents/in-laws. They are all triple boosted now and I've not needed a booster myself and breezed through COVID this summer.

People are dumb in different levels of extreme (1 year ago, but still true)

You're not making sense again Joe.

I've made perfect sense.

If the vaccines created a problem in the military, the military hasn't made any indication that is the case. In fact, their sites and sources claim exactly the opposite.

VA sites continue to recommend vaccines and boosts. Consistent with the science that the complications from the vaccine are far lower than they are from the virus for those w/o protection.

I get it Joe. You think this is all a complete fabrication:
Vaccines can do no wrong, government entities always tells the truth, and would always exhibit rapid transparency on all matters concerning the health and well being of our service personnel. How you could know that unequivocally is beyond impressive. Look at Camp Lejeune, for example.

Yeah, it was probably just how fit we are the determined who would live or die.

17 people per 100,000? Better shut down the schools and the economy.

And this?
Scroll down to 0-24yrs. I wonder what's causing that.
Looks to me like the weekly deaths for the 0-24 yr age group are within the baseline levels now, post Covid.

You seem to be confused with "cumulative" data, which is adding in the past 2 years of excess deaths FROM Covid.

At the very end it levels off a bit in that age group, but still rising in that age group even in the post-COVID timeframe, and during mild Omicron. Other age groups are still rising at a rate similar to the COVID timeframe.

And yet, your core claim, that "vaccines" are causing those increases, falls flat, because those increases were ALL during original Covid and Delta/Omicron. And now are reverting to the norms.

Even though we still have a significant portion of the population who refuses the vaccines.

Um, but they're not at all reverting to the norms in the majority of age groups. We're still increasing in rates similar to COVID in some cases, during mild omicron and long after the pandemic was declared over.

Actually, the "striking correlation" for the UK is "climate change" and massive summer heatwaves....

Interesting link. Thanks.

I particularly liked the graphs showing "Age-Adjusted Mortality" with and without COVID deaths, on this page. The graphs are the 2nd and 3rd ones on the left (they won't paste here for me).

It's hilarious that you automatically rule out vaccines
Why?

There's literally nothing in any of the graphs which would point to them.
If "vaccines" were a driver, you would expect a large spike over the timeframes they've been delivered, which simply is not in the data.

'Member those times that Covid was preventing people from access to ERs and hospitals for care? And that people were warning folks to "mask up" to prevent hospital overloads which would lead to unnecessary deaths?

I 'member!!!

Not necessarily. Why are you assuming the death timeframe would be acute, let alone the same for everyone? Vaccine caused deaths could easily be hidden in these charts.

Commission? Give me a break. We just had the Jan 6 commission that clearly showed Trump’s direct involvement with trying to bypass democracy and more people ended up saying the election was stolen. Facts are not important any longer, only what Fox News and other right wing extremists tell their viewers what they want to be true. It’s terrifying that so many can’t see this shift to authoritarianism and will actively vote for those that want to do away with democracy.

They are gullible rubes..like many in this thread

No, "vaccine cause deaths" cannot be hidden in these charts.
There's nowhere to hide them. Because if they've been distributed as widely as observed (and as you claim), there'd be deaths everywhere.

And, as already noted for you, as the last Covid wave is dropping, the mortality rates are shifting back into baseline regions. That's the data YOU linked.

Dude, logic doesn't work with antivaxxers....they just feel that it's bad

Brilliant analysis. You're losing it Joe.

But, as I said before, the the data ISN'T indicating a move back to baseline for many of the age groups.

Glad we agree. We've lost 1.1M to Covid already, and do not need anti-vaxxer pushing false narratives IF the next variant turns out to be as bad as Delta or Omicron were.
So it seems all those VAERS injuries may be legit and the root cause appears to be (checks notes).........anti-vax disinformation causing constriction of the arteries. Not a joke.

Where would we be without the science?!?
