I can't believe Nickal wasn't called for stalling there in the third when he got his riding time over a minute. You only have 5 seconds to return the man, that was like 11-12 seconds.
I concur...and I can't believe they called Imar for stalling twice...such BS! Don't think Imar will lose agains Nolf next time. He allowed himself to get into that bizarre pinning position. Either way those two are both the same caliber...can't imagine anyone else beating either of them this year.
Imart backed straight out for his first stall call, which was correct. The second call was he didn't return Nolf to the mat within 5 seconds. They were both correct calls. He swallowed his whistle in Nickal's match though.
I concur with the second call, but the first one was a bit quick. That'll be an interesting match for all the marbles in the B10s and NCAAs...
I thought IMart had a decent chance of going undefeated his entire career and tying Cael's record. Ironic that one of Cael's guys stopped him.
That hasn't been a rule for about 15 years. There is no time limit on it. It's up to the referees discretion on when to hit him for stalling if he hasn't returned him.
Especially with how the guy was dinging Imar. Same scenario with totally different calls.
Nolf totally wore IMar out in the first. He exhausted a lot of energy right after he got taken down.

You are right, a Hawkeye fan who has no dog in the fight makes an obvious observation that the selective nature of the official allowed a Penn State wrestler to stall but called stalling against one of the most dominating wrestlers in college right now. Of course you as a Penn State fan would not be bias at all, the fact that the wrestlers from your team received the benefit has nothing to do with your opinion. Sorry buddy but the delusion is all yours on this one.
I agree. I think its the classic case of a really dominant guy never even being remotly pushed this season yet quite like a Nolf can. Reminded me of when Jordan Oliver had pinned 10 guys and never got a 7 min conditioning match in before the Ramos match.
Not making an excuse for IMART but I cant wait for the rematch. Nolf very well could win again as he is a f'n stud and love how relentless he wrestles but I want to see how Imart reinvents himself so to speak. I liked Nolfs interview afterwards, sounds like he is in a perfect place mentally. This rivalry is good for the sport. We need the marquee match like this. Funny thing is a could see JoJo close this gap and catch up with both these guys. Probably not this season but next season after he gets a year of D1 under his belt. And thats saying something because I dont think Nolf is done getting better yet either.
I think JoJo can take out Nelf this year. Nelf is a stud, but he will avoid wrestling IMAR next time out. He wasn't wanting to engage Imar last time until Imar got tired.Imar will dominate the next match although the score will be close.

New to the forum I see, word to the wise, it's often "tradition" that we misspell opponents' names around here so kick back and relax...I'm guessing that's what ole Gablefan was doing there with Norf. And I'm never one to correct anyone's spelling or grammar but if you're going to call someone out on spelling, please learn proper usage of "your" and "you're".
Examples:
1. Your spelling sucks too! (ownership/possessive)
2. You're terrible at spelling as well. (You are)

Instead of dumbass insults, here is a more appropriate response about Nolf (or Norf): Nolf got the first takedown in the match early in the first period. Imart got tired after being ridden for almost a minute before finally getting the escape.

So what I took away from the match was a a subtle gesture made by Nerf at the end. When his hand was raised, he momentarily lifted both hands and pointed a finger in the air. Was this just coincidence, or is he psychic. Did he know that he would be vaulted to the #1 ranking in the next poll? If Nerf really is psychic, that would explain how he could be one step ahead of Imart. This is scary stuff. What if he is somehow able to channel this power to Gillibong and some of the other Nitts. I hope Lambertttttttt can forgive my spelling. (Is that you Jack)?
