Stanford ranked 6 spots higher despite having the same record and Northwestern having the head-to-head win.
Could be a little of this. Which by the way I never understood the notion that Osborne and Alvarez are in there thumping their chest for Iowa? That directly impacts their jobs and their schools. I'm not saying they dislike/favor anyone but I highly doubt they are going out of their way to push Iowa surpremecy..I wonder if it has something to do with Ty Willingham (though a former Spartan QB) coached at Stanford, and Condi Rice also going to school at Stanford being on the committee.
They are humans, therefore they do have agenda's & biases, whether they think they do or not.Could be a little of this. Right, which I am saying would go AGAINST Iowa if anything..They are humans, therefore they do have agenda's & biases, whether they think they do or not.
Part of the reason is HOW Northwestern lost. Although they lost to good teams, they lost by 38 to Michigan and 30 to Iowa. Stanford has lost by 10 and 2 point. Not being competitive to good teams is why Stanford is ahead of them.
