I do not know about you all, but it is great to be a Hawkeye right now. I am excited about our football team, wrestling just beat #1 Oky State, mens and womens basketball are undefeated, baseball is coming off of a 40+ win season, volleyball was at least relevant for a period of time.....other than those sports who really cares.

Keeping KF= A+
Hiring Fran=A+
Bluder was here already but she has not left= B
Brands was hired in 2006 (not sure if hired by Barta)but extension was good idea= A-
Hiring Heller= A++
Hiring Bond= B+ (probably A+ when all said and done)

The one thing that Barta said last year that still has me baffled is, "Iowa will be a very exciting team to watch next year" He said it with extreme confidence. What did he know or see that the fans (including myself) did not?

I was as down on GB as anyone and I have to give him his due as far as results are concerned. The overall results of the athletic department sure seem to have improved greatly.
