Hawks are so lethal they now require a 5 day waiting period and background check when crossing state lines.

If Northwestern wants to back out due to a non-weather related issue, it should be a forfeit.
I know there are always positives and negatives with games being postponed but, IMO, anything not weather/serious event related should just be a forfeit or play with the guys you have.
Nothing on the NW board about this. No reports of NW health issues. Snow not expected to start until after the game. I’m calling BS on the rumor.
I know we had a game at Indiana postponed several years ago that turned our season around.....for the worse.
Can’t postpone for this anymore. Forfeit if that’s this case. Injures and Covid. Covid policies aren’t around anymore I don’t believe. So play with what you got or forfeit.

Injuries + COVID. Northwestern can't meet requirement for minimum number of players.
IMO, that's absolutely ridiculous. They will get bailed out because of the weather, but not having enough players because of injuries and sickness is the perfect reason to forfeit a game.
Why would anyone want a forfeit? I can't see how this would help Iowa in any way with respect to NCAA tourney possibilities
Shoot, I couldn't even do this for my 8th grade girls team last year. I had 3 A team girls available but had to play.
They don't have 5 players they can bring? I call BS on this excuse. They can play....they just don't want to.
And Iowa gets the shit for having to force a bunch of games into a short week at some point in the future, towards the end of the season. **** jNW.

Can we go back in time and reschedule the Eastern Illinois game since Connor and Kris were out? I didn't know you could abuse the system like this, sounds awesome. Just say there's a covid outbreak anytime you have too many key players hurt.
This is where Barta needs to take a stand. He needs to insist it be scheduled in the middle of one of Iowa's longer breaks. Northwestern chickened out....they should NOT be given a reschedule that favors them and screws Iowa. If that means they have to play on 1 day's rest.....too bad.
Unfortunately I feel the Hawks will get screwed like they did when Indiana cancelled against us several years ago.
Iowa needs this rescheduled for resume boost over a forfeit or cancel. Take advantage of the extra days rest now and beat OSU on the road.
Agree. Barta needs to play hardball here. The only viable date I see on the schedule would be Mar 2 in Iowa City. NW would be coming off a game on 1 Mar in Evanston. That is the only gap in Iowa's schedule and even that would be 2 days after the 28 Feb game at Indiana and 3 days before the road game at Nebby on 5 Mar.
Really don’t think extra rest is a good thing for a hot team. Fully except ice cold shooting at OSU.

Are schools even required by the conference to follow C-19 protocols anymore? I don't think there are daily regular testing processes in place at least.
