CRUZ 26 vs UR Cruz was doing his thing mostly. Pushing pace , Shooting his single leg. He got in deep and got lazy on what should have been a TD. He did shoot late in periods 1&2 getting TDs and ride outs which was good technical wrestling. He needs to clean up/ speed up his finishes from his go to shot. 80

YBARRA UR vs UR Had a nice counter to a TD, quick escape start 2nd. Got another TD from a double type shot cut to a single which went to a challenge or review. Showed solid D in third to get a good win for himself B+

SCHRIEVER UR vs UR Working hard the entire match. TD and ride out in 1st. NW chooses down in 2nd and gets riden like the quarter pony out in front of the local store!!! Got a major if memory is correct? 88

PARCO 3 vs 25 I was tired and fell asleep LOL (Dual started at 157)

ESTRADA UR vs 9 Zeros in 1st not much action from either wrestler. Traded escapes 2nd and 3rd and there was a little more action put no scoring. Went to OT where he lost. Need to shoot something!!! 70

CALIENDO 2 vs 18 IOWA chasing and getting TDs (5 in 1st) tech early in 2nd A+

BRANDS UR vs UR Nelson was on the attack mostly. Showed a few nice things like a Firemans carry to end 1st and a Arm Spin for a nice TD. Got a Tech looked good, who will be the man at 74? Give the 83%

ARNOLD 8 vs UR Saw some of his good offense which we need to see more of !!! Shrug from short O, snap to ankle pick 90

BUCHANAN 1 vs 14 Had to show his amazing Defense a couple of times to somehow(???) avoid giving up TDs. His counter shots are sweet and his tilts maybe even sweeter! Rather not see him have to use D skills but might have been him working on some stuff or what not? Got a tech late 3rd 91

KRUETER 11 vs UR Snap to a quick TD, some smooth double leg TDs not much competition A

Cheerleaders dancing to Joan Jett was nice, crowd looked a little small for IOWA. NOT sure how some of these teams survive in the new NIL world? NW looked terrible!!!

They went out and did what they were supposed to do. You don't get penalized just because the other guy/team is inferior. The only question I have is why did Parco allow the escape at the end of the 3rd? I believe he would have had a major had he ridden him out. Now something like that is worth a demerit.

Well like I said, I do not know what/how college sports move forward? I guess many will point that there has mostly been an "un-balanced" in power in many sports, you can certainly look at wrestling and clearly see that. Problem is, now, you have such a discrepancy that there will be very little ability at all to compete.

Right now, most duals featuring a high end team, are a "no contest" with what? MAYBE 5 teams having a shot at a team trophy and right now only one that will win! It is not good at all!!!

You look at Football for example. Yea there are TOP teams, but no one could say Ohio St was 100% going to win the NC this season.
You also have plenty of teams looking to win it next year and will certainly have a shot.

As far as I can see for next year in wrestling, and possible looking forward. You still have F*** st. IOWA, Oak st, and who!?!!? Ohio st, want to through in Nebby, Minny, Iowa st.....????

Now what on earth are ALL others going to do? Even IF they can recruit well, develop well, more then likely, they get a TOP kid or TWOOOOO. They will lose them in the portal. It is mostly sad when you see some MASSIVE skools, Michigan, Nebraska, etc.... and they have a home dual against basically anyone but IOWA, the stands are empty!!!

I mean if you look at the B1g ten, already so far ahead and dominate in wrestling, and several skools don't even have a program!!!! Just image if Oregon, Washington, and the cali skools added wrestling and everyone was ALL IN like football!!!! Then get FLA, TEXAS, ALABAMA, etc... on board give many more wrestlers an opportunity.

How GREAT would this be!?!?? but it will never happen!!!! MANY things really need to be figured out and fast before the POS ncaa really FFFs this up permanently!!!
