Observations of my Home Town (Election Year edition)…

It’s going to boil down to voter turnout. As always.

We know the MAGA idiot brigade will enthusiastically march to their polling places. My hope is the more moderate Republicans stay home or leave the president space blank.
I'm down with the president space blank. I want them voting down ballot though...

I think in the 80s/90s there was close to 1 bar for every 100 people in the town. Which would have put them to 15 or 16.

The last time I was there it was pretty much down to Beer City, Connor's, and the Triangle. Also, the golf course was still serving if people count that as a bar.
Yup. I think the bowling alley is still open too. Definitely not like the old days.

That's why I put the giant flag on my truck.

I would never have ANY political candidate (either national or local) signs in my yard. They look very tacky.
Someone was just posting a question about how big can the signs be for our yards in our neighborhood FB group.

In my head: I'm wondering why it's so important to let others know about your political leanings.

From my keyboard I typed: Personally, I drive around and count the political signs. Whichever candidate has the most signs in the neighborhood gets my vote.

Yard signs are a pretty good gauge of voter enthusiasm, though.
I see a lot of signs for local elections, but not the presidency. I think yard signs are tacky looking, regardless of who they are for.

Fiesta is fantastic for a small town Mexican joint. Been there 3 times in a month since we moved here lol

Also enjoy Brickyard too. They have some good bar food.

In Desoto, there is this place called Ambrose roadhouse. Great gizzards and tenderloins
I head west to Brickyard approx once a month. During hoops season more often to meet up with friends from there.

Brickyard would be a good spot for a HROT meet and greet.
