It's no wonder Iowa coaches love Koen Entringer, who continues to wait for his turn behind guys like Quinn Schulte, Sebastian Castro and Xavier Nwankpa.
Entringer had his best game Saturday, playing 43 snaps, and has learned by watching Jay Higgins wait behind guys like Jack Campbell and Seth Benson.
“A guy that’s had to sit behind so many great players, I can relate to him. It reminds me and humbles me that you’ve just got to stay the course. Everybody’s story is different. You may not get those opportunities your first, second or even third year, but you’ve just got to keep hammering away and focusing on your fundamentals and focus on getting better, and everything will take care of yourself. It’s more about making sure you’re ready for the opportunity, and the opportunity doesn’t faze you.”
