I’m guessing Luke Jackson, two of Matzek? Or do we give Martin another inning? Would be nice to only have to use Matzek one inning tonight. Of course, we need runs.
I hope this one doesn’t bite them in the ass and hindsight is 20/20 but Snit should have gone to the big guns out of the pen in the 2nd. Even with Minter crapping tonight if he does it with a 3 or 4 run lead it’s ok. With a 4 run lead you ride minter, Jackson and Matzek until you can’t and try to bridge the gap to Smith if you have to. Total mismanagement with an opener who is not a starter and a day off tomorrow.
I hope so. I always worry though. I really worry about the last two outings Fried has had. That said I do like that Matzek and Jackson got a little rest. Hopefully the day off helps Minter as well.
Of course with the final two games in an American League park the rules change. I for one hate it. Full disclosure I think the A.L. plays a glorified version of slow pitch softball. Sure Edgar Martinez, you hit everything , nearly that came to you, but then you couldn't catch a grounder off my little sister. Bring It On folks
