***Official 2021 Atlanta Braves thread ***

The schedule gets tough this week. 2 against NYY, 3 against San Francisco and then 3 on the road at LA. We’ll get an idea of what we really look like this week.

True but Atlanta did just what they needed to do on this trip against the bottom teams. Probably more. Three consecutive road sweeps against anyone is impressive.

Philly wraps up their series with San Diego tonight, then go home for two against Tampa, four against Arizona, three against the Nats and three against Miami.

Home plate ump is sure F’ing them over pretty good tonight.
Ozzie gifted a 4th strike with 2 outs in the 9th and beats out a dribbler to third. Bases jacked. Soler walked run in. Braves have chased Chapman from the game and Freddie will face Wandy Peralta with 2 outs.

Edit to add: Mets and Phillies both lost today

I tried to watch the game on the MLB Network last night but it was the Yankees broadcast. Why wouldn't they have the home team feed?

It was on the MLB network with the Yankees broadcasters. They were huge homers and very hard to listen to. David Cone of course.

Freeman got called out at home trying to score from first. He was safe, but for whatever reason they felt there wasn’t enough to overturn the original call. There were four or five angles, which none of them were good, but he was still clearly safe.

Joc got tossed in the 4th after he was hit by the pitch. The ump said he swung for strike three. No appeal and I didn’t think it was a swing.

The two toughest divisions in MLB are:
American League East
National League West

Your 2021 World Series Champion will
come from one of those 2 divisions.

The Phillies next ten are four at home against Arizona, then three on the road at Washington and Miami. The Braves just swept that level of competition.

The Braves, after their two day respite, have three at home against San Fran then travel west for three at LA and four at Colorado. The next ten game may certainly determine the division.

I was excited to see the closing of the road trip at Colorado. Though, Colorado is pretty good at home this season.

I haven't looked before but what a disparity between the home, 43-22, and their road, 15-47, records!

Phillies are now 0-4 against the Dbacks

Damnit! I was watching Dowling-SEP first game of the season on local NBC. Sweet. Dbacks just took Phillies to extras. Please Dbacks, keep making Phillies your biatch.
