Great Player, but assumed you meant best college PG in America. Many of those ranked ahead of him graduate or are going pro. However, until Braden Smith declares for the draft, he is likely the number one ranked returning PG.
This is interesting. I see A.J. Storr is back in the portal (fourth school on four years), looking for another bag of cash. Or how about Nigel Pack, a year left for another payday. Add another name, Tre Donaldson looking for a bigger bag. Better than the G league. One P4 to another P4. Different than moving from DII to mid-major to P4.
Definitely pay-for-play.
Williams scored more points than Toppin but they both pretty much scored at will in the post because of strength.
Manyawu and Banks very likely both have better vertical leaps than both TT guys.
Toppin was shooting hook shots, (his go to move) not jumping over people. It's nearly impossible to block hook shots unless your Victor Wembanyama.
The TT guys got their points by backing the Drake guys down. TT only had 5 offensive rebounds on the game so most of their points were coming on the initial post shot.
I don't disagree Iowa will need more size, I'm just disagreeing that height is the only factor in "size".

I think McCollum will find all the guys he needs. And, he will get them to play together defensively as a team in a way that we haven't seen in a very long time.
If he can get them to play D that's average to his standards we'll think they're the equivalent of a lockdown corner compared to what we've been watching for a long time.

We could use two 6’10” guys for next season. One isn’t enough. Almost all of the teams in the Big Ten will 2 or 3 that are that size or bigger. Go Hawks !

Need to stop this crap. One transfer and that's it. Shouldn't be able to transfer every year for a bag of money each time. When are they going to review all of this and fix it.
Iowa wouldn't have nearly anyone on their roster right now if each player is allowed only one transfer.

Contracts. We don’t see it in pro sports so start with that.

All four Drake commits bring much needed toughness to the roster. Hope Tavion joins the team also. Add a big or two, and several shooters and this team could be very good. Upgrade at the point and PF. Dix and/or Sandfort would be shooters this roster could really use.
