His mental health issues are kicking into overdrive during this portal season. Kind of weird and also sad to see it in real time. With that being said, come on Ben!!! He has about 3 weeks to put this roster together and now we don’t have tons of money earmarked.
If we get that Nyk guy and he can sit behind Ben for one year and learn in the system then we will be cooking. Also, we should have plenty of ammo on hand once Bennett leaves as I don’t see a big named player on this team going into next year unless Cooper shows growth or one of the young Drake guys improve a lot.

Guards, forwards, and centers. You can load more players to your hearts desire. They all have ratings on them. Their in order based on best ratings.
We need to get some quality big guys for sure.
I think they'll be adding people well into the summer.
The portal closing doesn't mean a player has to be committed somewhere.
Plus there's jucos and foreign players to look at.
Ben will get a competitive roster put together.
@Buffalo43, you ask good questions. We rarely see see BrunoMars420 & InsaneHawkJJP on the sports forums. Both of those clowns, instead, can be found posting nonsense on the Off Topic Forum.
First off, expect a laughing emoji to this post from BrunoMars420; he's a clown and that's what clowns do.
Next, did you know that over 49,000 people died by suicide in 2022 (that is one death every 11 minutes)? Nevertheless, both of those clowns like to use mental health as a weapon and it's pretty disgusting. Bruno, as you can see, did it above. And when they use mental health as a weapon, I have no problem throwing it back in their face.
The fragile Bruno wrote above that asterisks make this thread "the official" thread so I added asterisks to my thread because I knew it would rattle his weak mind. Just this week, Bruno can be seen on the Off Topic forum posting about whether men transitioning to female should be allowed to participate in female sports. He started a thread about women using botox in their butt cheeks. In another thread, he wrote, I told OP I had sex with his dad but it was really OPs mom. In another thread, he wrote So did OP get a blowie at a bar or what? And those are just a few examples of what the clown posts over there. That's all you need to know about his mental issues and why he hangs out over there.
You can see InsaneHawkJJP on the Off Topic forum talking about his former daughter (now his trans son) playing sports and other crazy ass things. I sincerely hope InsaneHawkJJP does not use mental health as a weapon towards his trans son like he does in these forums, but with him, I would not be surprised.

It sounds like Ben coached Nyk Lewis for Team USA last summer. That would help a great deal I suspect as he’s universally considered an exceptional on-the-floor coach and excellent at building relationships.

Also noteworthy is Lewis is taking his first visit after the current dead period that ends 4/11 to Iowa.

I was just looking at Iona’s portal entries. Looks like they have 8 guys in the portal, including Njie. No idea if any of them would be good targets for Iowa.
Agree but Iowa is striking out on those transfers to. Like strike out on everybody not following their coach.

We've got a real shot at any of them. They've got good players.
Plus he's shown that he can recruit. He beat out way better funded or ranked teams for players
Kyan Evans, a Colorado State transfer guard, was high school teammates with Cam Manyawu. I haven’t seen anything yet directly linking him to Iowa but he’s a talented kid.
When you’re talking about another poster’s family, that’s a sign it’s time to take a break from the internet and get some help.
There are a LOT of players in the portal that are either not going to get the $$ they want, or end up on a top level team (or any team). There will be good players in this group.
It’s way too early to be worried about who Ben will be able to get. I suspect when rosters fill up on the blue bloods and the big (over) spenders, there will still be plenty to choose from.
There are over a thousand players still available in the portal and Iowa has 9 scholarships available to build on what is already a very good core group. On top of that, it’s still early in the process; the basketball season isn’t even over yet.
