This game is being called different than any game I’ve watched so far this year.
Smith might be the best I've ever seen at converting open looks into contested ones.
Two things:
1. Clark's shooting is getting flatter. That has something to do with her percentage. Her arc is off. A number of things can factor into that. Change in shot mechanics, a little less reliant on form and more trusting in her added strength over the last year (and growing strength with whatever training she's currently putting in).
It could also be because of tired legs and needing to use more upper body to get the ball there. Just to name a few things.....
Regardless, her deep ball is getting too flat and that's playing a part in her not making those shots like we're used to seeing.
2. Kelsey Plum plays ridiculously fast...........sometimes to her own detriment.
If you were to compare the speed at which Clark and Plum play and how it looks, just refer to the scene in Spaceballs known as "ludicrous speed"................

Boston is a smart player but really lacks athleticism. Her vertical is like 12 inches.
Boston allowed herself to get pushed off her trajectory and that allowed the block.
Also a jump shot and/or shot fake wouldn't hurt these professional basketball players.................

Then she'd lose the ability to give those sweet post feeds to Boston.

A'ja Wilson is so good. She plays very in control. Her fade-away mid-range game is money.
Clark has to find her perimeter shot in the offseason. At Iowa I was surprised when any 3 pointer missed. Now Im surprised if she makes it. That wide open 3 was a knuckleball.
Tbf she does look like she's starting to cock her shot a little bit like Connor did, and Connor had the ugliest looking f***ing set jump shot I've ever seen from a high level D1 P5 player............
Even Lil Lick had better form to his shot than Connor.
That was an ugly second quarter. The Fever scored only 13 points. The transition game, where CC excels, disappeared.
That second quarter was dreadful on offense.
