***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

Agree on staggered screens. What’s happening on the screens is an athletic 6’4 screener defender is ACTUALLY HEDGING PROPERLY, and Caitlin is getting a tough double. The only thing she can do with that is pass out of it, and she’s doing a good job of it.
People need to lay off the coach too. A new team, very young, with very few practices to make adjustments while playing some really good teams. 6 games in 10 days. Hard to fix things with that little practice time.

I thought that Caitlin looked exhausted during the game against the Aces last night. Playing 6 games in 10 days against the best teams in the WNBA, being constantly double-teamed, having to adjust to a shorter shot clock, and a faster style of play would wear anyone out. In spite of that, she gave it everything she had. Kudos to you, Caitlin!
Is it me or are there others shocked at the ineffective play of Aliyah Boston?
Yes and no. Can’t say I really watched her last year so have nothing to compare it to. She did get 14 and 6 last night which statistically isn’t bad but her plus minus was the 2nd worst with CC right behind her. Look, this team has huge holes. Look at a team like Vegas. It took them a few years to gel. Now Wilson, Plum, Young are all so good. Have to just keep hoping they all improve, including CC.
True, BUT, still one of the things that make her different from most humans who have played. She can go 0 for 7, and still have the balls to shoot the last two.
Fever went 13-27 last season missing the playoffs. Are currently in next to last place in the 12 team league. At what point is the head coach accountable?

Temi is quickly becoming a favorite
The Fever have played the most difficult schedule in the league so far. Five of their seven games have been against three of the four best teams, and five of seven games have been on the road. They've also played the most games, so they've had the least amount of rest.
This next week is a big one for the Fever. They get three games in a row at home, against teams that are not the best in the league. These are games that need to be won. One week from now, the Fever could either be in decent shape or in big trouble.

They play their 2nd back to back as well. Saturday Chicago, Sunday NY.
I will say they brought that double team and showed extra help real quick when they put Kate on Clark.

As has been the case in every game I see. Aja Wilson is the best player in the league, and I don't see her getting doubled like Clark is......
Until Indiana learns how to make teams pay for that, I’ll keep happening.
Aja Wilson is also not bring the ball up the court. They’re not letting CC get any rhythm (smart) and going with the quick double when we high screen. At times she’s holding onto the ball to long and then gets trapped. Even then if she makes quick to Boston out of the double now she has to something 30 feet from the basket.
One of my favorite moments of the game was when Caitlin deposited Plum on her plum.
Plum was hanging all over Caitlin and the look on Plum's face was priceless. I'm glad Caitlin finally said enough of this nonsense AND it got called the right way. Hoping the officials keep coming around as Caitlin establishes herself.

Get the Fever and Clark now. 7 games in. She’s fine. She’s going to get so much better as the season continues. Nothing I’ve seen so far suggests otherwise. And next year she will take a similar leap that she did at Iowa from year 1 to year 2. Within a few years she will be one of the best players in the league. Barring injuries she will be phenomenal.
They need to stop doing the high screen on the right side of the court. It pushes CC to the sideline where she can't dribble away from pressure & is easily trapped. I would bet she's had 1/4 of her turnovers from that set.
