That run by the Fever third team had the crowd the most excited it got all night.
Oof.... Berger had a wide open 10-15 footer to win and missed badly. Her nerves may have hurt her there.

The playoffs start on Sunday.
The Playoff matchups are set:

Indiana has their work cut out for them; they have to win at least 1 of 2 games on the road in order to get a potential deciding game 3 in Indy.

Not looking forward to playing the Sun. Carrington has been nothing but trouble with all of her trash talk online. It sure would be nice to see CC and Co to punch them in the mouth.
I have to hand it the subs. As poorly as they played for most of the game, they hung around and the Mystics tightened up and they took advantage. Almost pulled it off. Tough for Berger to miss. That would have been so cool for her.

Smith will be gone after this season IMO. Maybe Saxton can work her way up. She's 6'2 and seems to rebound well. We'll have to wait until CS and Dunn finish their moves.
I feel bad for players like Berger and Saxton who have to sit on the bench all season, knowing they will rarely, if ever, play. Berger played some early in the season, but in one game she was fouled on a 3-pt attempt and missed all three FTs, and she never played again.
Yeah. I was thinking maybe 25-30 min for the starters, but KM's ankle probably changed that.
That's really disgusting when a player is hurt, and another player has to take it upon herself to get a foul, in order to get Mitchell to the bench, because the coach is brain dead.

The record attendance was made possible by the game being played at Capital One Arena, which is not the Mystics’ usual home: Washington plays at Entertainment & Sports Arena, which has a capacity of 4,200.
