***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

This seems like tampering, but what do I know. I guess if she doesn't want to be there, you can't keep her there. The last thing the WNBA wants is some negative publicity, so even if it did happen, nothing will likely come of it.
Serious question, because I don’t know, is it tampering when it’s a coach? It seems like this is done all the time.

It's well known now that White, the former Sun coach and the Fever have been in talks, and the mutual admiration between her and Clark. There are still some out there who have a bad taste in their mouth over the Carrington eye gouge. I haven't seen or heard of a reaction by either coach, and it hasn't affected relations with Clark or White, so it's a non-issue where I'm concerned.

That guy is hilarious.
He's a credible source. He tells it like it is. and come playoff time he doesn't care who the players are on the Fever. No one is safe lol. I've watched him and others for quite awhile to see if I can see alignment between them, and reasonable dissenting discourse, and also weed out the one's who just want "Clicks".

They're not playing Olympic-style 3x3. It is full-court, but on a 70-something foot court.
Yes, I realize it’s “full court,” but it’s a court whose overall length has been shrunk by roughly 25%. You could argue that even with the reduction in space, making the game 3-on-3 will lead to a more wide open game. I look at it as greatly neutralizing what could be Caitlin’s greatest superpower of all—her get-ahead passes. You make it easier for opponents to get back in transition and you take away two of her options to beat you. I just don’t see how this plays into her strengths at all.

I just came here to say the same thing. Of his last 200 posts on this board, 199 are in threads about the WNBA. Jim, the first step in fixing your problem is admitting you have one.
Not about the WNBA. Strictly CC. Massive fan. Unfortunate so many jealous players hate her. But she’ll get the last laugh like she always does!

I don't. It still keeps her passing game in play when they run 70ft. A true half court would squash that. That's why they nixed that to draw CC in.

This has been in planning for 2 years and implemented when CC was through college. No one can convince me otherwise.

I hope this makes a path for Kate to make the Fever team if they join up on a team in January and have success. The W feels scripted like a soap opera.

I'm surprised they made this change for a rookie while she was still in college playing against 18 year old girls. CC hadn't yet experienced the reality of playing against grown women.

Why would it be tampering? She stated earlier her contract was up and she was looking at options with 3 or 4 teams, including the Sun.....

I did qualify my comment by stating what do I know. Another poster didn't think there is tampering when it comes to a head coach. My comment was surficial only, I've done precisely zero review of any articles on the timing of the move, her contract being up, etc.

Just another league thats needs HER, and not the other way around.....
Exactly! And she’s risking injury playing for an insignificant league nobody will remember. With some free agent players here and there quietly saying they’d play with Caitlin, things are really looking up for the Fever.

I feel like I follow Caitlin and the fever pretty closely, but I have not heard any free agents saying that. Names?

Maybe you're looking for words directly from the horse's mouth, however this should provide some insight to it.

"At one point, she made it clear that Indiana is already becoming a free agency destination this offseason.

"Absolutely," Dunn said when asked whether there are free agents who want to play with Caitlin Clark. "We're already starting to hear some initial conversations with some [agents of] free agents, letting [us] know that their player might be available for a trade or that they might be available in free agency.

"And that they would love to play with Clark," Dunn concluded.

While Dunn didn't name any specific players, one common name that has popped up among Fever fans is current Dallas Wings guard Satou Sabally, who would appear to be a perfect fit with Clark and superstar forward Aliyah Boston."

Top WNBA free agent hinting at joining Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever?

Hmmm...
