***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

Caitlin Clark is the crown jewel of Excel Sports Management. They will not let her associate with this sure-to-be disaster.

Question: How did they outperform their financial projections? They knew a few weeks ago what that was when they got the TNT deal, didn't they?
It's most likely they got additional sponsor(s) $$$ to post signs around the venue they play in. This is one way. I'm sure there are other ways we're not privy to on collecting funding. Could be another investment firm putting up initial funds for a cut.

A league years in planning and you think that something that happened a few weeks ago is ancient history or something?

I also didn’t know you had access to their P&L to have a strong understanding of what their finances are…hell that you throw out their TV deal as if that is the end all…maybe that was a part (which they would have known the approx financials of much longer than three weeks ago), but could be a simple as their expenses fell well under their initial projections.

It just fun to watch you all slam on any female in this world not named Caitlin Clark.

TNTs deal was announced Oct 16

More may be on the way.

The league was also having discussions with ESPN, Amazon, ION and the CW.

TNT will have a studio show at least one of the two nights that it airs games.

"Being on TNT, you know, for two of the three nights is really important, not just to help grow this league, but also to the women who play in it," said former Turner president David Levy, who is the co-founder and co-CEO of Horizon Sports & Experiences and helped secure the media rights deal.

What are you talking about? I’m almost certain most of us still have our Martina Navratilova sports star disc insert from the Tab cola six pack we purchased in 1976.
I've posted this before but women's athletics attracts posters with a persecution complex. Some people forget they are not on the off topic board and post some legitimately offensive things, but for the most part, I am continually surprised at the umbrage taken to what I consider to be innocuous, if not positive posts.

I can't wait until work is over so I can go watch some Jennifer Capriatti highlights while using my new Chris Evert racket that I was lucky enough to get before they sold out

And 35 years after Caitlin retires…people will say the same thing about her basketball.

Having a bad day?

I would not watch it. I hate the reality shows... half the drama is made up shit
It's all about money. The seasoned players are fed up with not making some real money. My question is, whether the quality of play will somehow get better? For the new players, they can get better with more playing time, and the money will be good for them. Clark doesn't need the money as we all know. I'd rather she fulfill the commitments that she has already set up, and work on improving her game in the off season.

Last spot goes to Boston. Unrivaled says come any time.

When Caitlin saw that Unrivaled told her to take her time & that she was welcome at any time, apparently it was raining outside!

Get Barkley, Kenny the Jet Smith, and Ernie Johnson onto the show!

It’ll be interesting to see what White is able to accomplish with this team. Her coaching pedigree is obviously a lot larger than Sides, and she’s been a fan of Clark since middle school.

It probably wasn’t a hard sell for the Fever’s front office. Return to her home state where she’s a basketball legend and coach the W’s biggest player, with a young nucleus around her.

I mean, I hate to get ahead of myself, but with the right free agents and trades, the fever could be right there to win it all. Such great fun.

Any FA's from the Sun that Indy might be interested in?
FAs include Bonner, thomas and Jones. Thomas i don’t think is what they need and she is likely a package deal with Bonner. Maybe jones but a 5 isn’t a priority. So, probably not.

I'm a little nervous about White. She was horribe in her 5 years at Vanderbilt. Her SEC record was 13-54. Many starters transfered and she was fired.

I got a bad vibe from that short interview clip. She seemed to minimize the Clark effect in favor of the old "we built this league and this is our moment." She also seemed controling.

My fear is she wants to be the next Cheryl Reeve and she'll be too insecure to leave well enough alone on the offensive side of things.

Maybe it's just me.

They have a nice "Big 3" in CC, KM & AB.

I will be interested to see which players the front office adds in the off season. And then, next season, it will be interesting to see if the team rebounds better & are better overall defensively.

Over thinking. She was the coach of the year. She knows she just hit the jackpot
