Don't have a problem w the strike 3 call on Black(that was borderline), but Neris was gifted 2 other strike calls that weren't even close.Thank you ump!
I was sitting in the driveway of my kid’s daycare listening to that home run call. I went nuts.Happy Aramis Day ... for those who celebrate. Good times! 17 years ago!
Some good names that I caught ... Felix Pie, Bobby Howry, Mark DeRosa, Alfonso Soriano, Derek Lee, Starlin Castro, Mike Fontenot!
I am stealing this from a poster on BCB.
don’t all MLB players strike out that muchBusch has been one of the Cubs most consistent hitters all season but I was shocked to learn today that he has a 39% K rate. 93 Ks in 237 ABs. I never would have guessed that.
To his credit, Morel is only about 26%.don’t all MLB players strike out that much
I remember when Stan Musial struck out 93 times. It was over the course of 3 and a half seasons and he had 748 hits to go with the 93 K's...Busch has been one of the Cubs most consistent hitters all season but I was shocked to learn today that he has a 39% K rate. 93 Ks in 237 ABs. They were only 0-1 with RISP. I guess that's an improvement?Well, when you decide to not show up to play a game, chances are your bullpen won’t be put in a position to blow a save. Maybe this is a new strategy??
They could throw Stevie Wonder out there, and this team would get held scoreless through 7 innings and only get 1 hit. After Mondays off day it looks like the Phillies are starting rookie Michael Mercado against the cubs in Wrigley.
Nice easy landing for the kid.
Just in June, I believe. How many blown saves? 12
The problem with being a seller is does that mean you are giving up on next year? This should have been a playoff team/year. The valuable pieces are stuff you'd have to replace for next year.If this season ends up with the Cubs being sellers, I don't trust Hoyer to get very good returns on the trades.
Can any of those dipshits hit?FYI, Marquee has South Bend on tonight at 6 pm.
Jefferson Rojas is 19 and playing in high A. Bret Bateman bears watching. He was a 4 year college player at Minnesota with some good bat to ball skills, and plays good defense. Rojas at this time has a very high ceiling. Bateman could be a 4th outfielder type. Can any of those dipshits hit?![]()
That’s literally the only thing he’s been shown to be good at.If this season ends up with the Cubs being sellers, I don't trust Hoyer to get very good returns on the trades.
They should be able to do some mix of sell/buy that doesn’t hurt next year. Could actually open up some flexibility heading into the offseason…..but then what will Jed do with that in the offseason? The problem with being a seller is does that mean you are giving up on next year? Probably dish out 2 year contracts to old catchers with diminishing skill sets. They should be able to do some mix of sell/buy that doesn’t hurt next year. Could actually open up some flexibility heading into the offseason…..but then what will Jed do with that in the offseason?
