Official I'm a meatball, threw a fit and gave up thread

I will gladly eat a huge serving of crow. Any good recipes?

Yep, i was one. Great effort boys. Apologies for being an ass. Keep it going!
Honestly it's been my fault, because Iowa had been playing well when I either chose not to or just couldn't watch the games. These last few games I've watched almost from start to finish and they've played like dog sh**.

I even told myself not to watch the MSU game, but wound up doing it anyway and lo and behold, our usual garbage defense that supplies our opponents with an automatic shooting percentage boost put us in a massive hole.

Fortunately, I stopped watching with a little over 2 minutes to go................right when they made their run.

So I apologize, but also....................you're all welcome.

Welp. Looks like you are done watching Iowa basketball for rest of the season.

I wanted to quit but when Kris made the three, then Connor, then Patrick, then Payton’s first one, I wasn’t going anywhere. LoL.

I did turn off the TV. I was watching on recording when I turned it off, down 10+. My wife called and told me it was going into OT so I began watching again. What a finish!

I was reeeeal close to turning it when Fran took the T, but had just started folding towels and the remote wasn't within reach.

Rookie mistake that worked in my favor.

I'm with you. I went to go rock my 2 year old in her room and read her stories. I was so mad so I thought I'd finally do something productive instead of yell and get mad. I thought we might come back if I don't watch.

I didn't see that coming at all.

Yeah, I was definitely "**** this" and turned it off. To be fair, I did the cursory check back on the score to see if they were going to make a run.... I saw down 12 with 1:30 left and said, yeah **** that again.

Went back and watched the recording and it's just insane they won that game. The probability of them winning had to be insanely low.

Guilty as charged. Was watching on one laptop monitor as I was doing something else but shut it off with a couple minutes to go, figuring there was no way in hell they’d come back the way they were shooting. Was just getting ready to log on here to trash the team and coach when Sandfort tied it to go into overtime. Watched the OT.

Wow. Just wow.

Hopefully this will get the team out of its funk and they can win the rest of the way and the BTT.

Halftime I went for a long walk while checking the score. Last I looked we were down double digits late and about 5 minutes later my brother sent me a text and said "can you believe this!" I was just getting home and saw OT then rewinded to watch the last 2 minutes of reg. Unreal.

Dont worry about it. I was watching at home and recording the game but I left to go to the store and menards with a minute to go in reg and 11 points down. I figured the hawks had a less than 1% chance of winning.

But they did it and I enjoyed watching the finish of the game even knowing they won.

I figured after the stare down (like 1:20ish left and down 10) the wheels were completely off and season officially in the shitter

Still can't believe that comeback. Has to be one of the greatest in history when you consider how far down and time left

I kept watching, but thought I was watching the season collapse until the last minute or two. That was as improbable a win as you will ever see. Usually, when there is a great comeback, one team chokes and collapses, but that wasn't the case today. MSU could not miss all day, until the OT. From the point of Fran's incredible weird stare down with the official, the Hawks just never gave up, despite how remote the chance of winning. Season-saving win. Another improbable win at IU, and the Hawks will probably be playing the Huskers for a double bye in the BTT.

I had it muted, but still on while I ate lunch and doom scrolled through Twitter. The stare down is what caused me to turn the sound back on because I wanted to hear Hummel's commentary on it. Glad I got to take it all in live from there.
