Jokes aside, no denying that the NLWC is THE freestyle club. Makes sense to want to be part of that stable of high level athletes and coaches.

I'm talking about the catalyst of the whole club's progression to it's current level not Dake going there, although I'm sure he's getting some cash too.

hawks are getting beat like a drum on the senior level. just don't get the lack of investment in the HWC. the best kids want to be world champions. the way you sign future ncaa champions is to have current world champions in the room already. frustrating.

It’s kind of sad when you line up those guys against our HWC guys. Kind of reminds me of Brands pre-awakening recruiting strategy of recruiting “our guys” and not pushing all the chips in on the bluest of chips. But maybe we just don’t have the Benjamin’s too. Seems like it’s both,
Kemerer went to the Cornell Regional Training Center or whatever it's called only to have Dake leave. Wonder how this affects Kemerer's future if at all. I recognize they still have major talents in Yianni and Arujau but it would have been great for Kemerer to train with Dake, day in and day out.
I would hate to see him leave NLWC, but imagine someone like Nolf moving up to Ithaca to roll with Kemerer.
Dake, Taylor and Burroughs are all over 30. Nolf's performance at the Yarygin shows he can be the next great US wrestler. With Spencer Lee of course.
Even though it changed to a different 2 point lead, still worked out in Yianni's favor to get that 4 pointer and help with criteria if it comes down to that
You’re right, the 4-pointer gave him criteria but after Gross’s challenge yesterday it seemed like too big of a risk. In the end it didn’t matter as Yianni didn’t score another point the rest of the match.
USA currently with 3 golds, 4 silvers, one fifth, one DNP and one remaining championship match with Snyder at 97kg. Everyone made it to the quarterfinals, 9 of 10 made it to the semifinals, and 8 of 10 made the finals.

This is true for those who win medals, but there’s no 4th place since there are two bronzes. Even more confusing?
Unfortunately, it was the correct call. From the UWW rule book- In freestyle, a scissor-lock with the feet crossed on the head, neck or body is forbidden. He absolutely scissored the head and arm. Even more unfortunate is no one saw it. You challenge that sequence 10 of 10 times unless you had reason to believe that happened. Japan had criteria so whether you are down 1 or 2 does not matter as either way you need a 2 pointer to win.
Why don’t you I feal slightly less knowledgeable about what went on in that match after reading the above. Lol
It's crazy to think that guys that wrestle for a living would want to go where they get paid the best and, currently, are having the best results. How can they live with themselves for doing what they think is best for them and their families?
I stated a fact that $$$ was the catalyst. I said nothing judging them for going where they get paid the most. I'm sure you were feeling really good about your sarcastic zinger attempt though. You would have really got me if I had said what you were targeting. 😆
A friend of mine is the Team Leader through the next Olympics and has been on top of the world.
