I disagree. No PR/Marketing firm in America could have done a better job in marketing CC and Iowa WBB last year. University of Iowa was saturating the national media. The Athletic Department is amazing at this. Football as well. MBB- dying horse. Watch what they do now.

Most of the sources for Devries were posters on this board speculating that they were reading the Tea leaves of a done deal for a head coach, not Twitter sources with connections.
For all we know, the done deal may have been McCollum all along. The Devries hire never made sense based ont the Money /buyout but
Devries agent may have strung Iowa along to give Devries the negotiating power that led to that Mega Deal with Iowa.
I wouldn't call it Chips N' Salsa yet, but the Fit looks really good for both sides and is logical outcome. I think UVA is
offering more money. I predict we'll end up with the Drake team on our roster at Iowa and McCollum as coach. If not, it
means there was No Big money donors and Iowa B-ball is nearly dead.
Now if Stitz isn't on board with what IOwa can pay him at $1.5 million or so, then that makes the rebuild a lot harder. My guess is the entire team is close enough that they all want to go to the same place.
Yes, great minds think alike.....I.e. McCollum, Bruno, and logic. The descriptions are the kid is pretty good athlete with upside. Whether he has the toughness that McCollum demands I don't know.Hopefully BM can snag this kid from Storm Lake:

My take on McCollum is he expects everybody he recruits to be able to defend their position. This is opposite of Fran who went out
and found the tweeners, shooting specialists, below the rim guys and tried to maximize offense and not really bother with defense. Harding at 6'0 and a defensive weak spot is a Fran PG. Sitrtz at 6'4 is a McCollum PG.
I think McCollum already knows he needs to find a good athlete I with length that can defend---he didn't have that on the Drake Roster and they got pounded inside by Texas Tech.

I heard the sticking point was partial ownership of Pagliai's
100%. I was permabanned by him prior and this was for the crime of saying in a post that his premium content wasn't worth the price. He was first to report nothing. The entire reason to visit the former HR published by TK was to access the premium board where actual sources exist.
I grew tired of him 'reporting' what everyone else actually reported prior. he seemed to only publish information after it was overly vetted. To the point it was usually very old news. Why pay for that?
He has zero sources and zero inside information. MANY others, including board posters. have much more real information.
Bottom line, the guy is a tool and no one within the program actually considers him as a real journalist. Obviously or he'd actually break news on occasion. Which he never did BTW.
I could add more but I'll stop at this point.
I am old so I will just stay home and enjoy the games again. I will make a donation to the swarm however, I might even break down and subscribe to Peacock or ESPN PLUS for a few months.
