What team in the Sweet 16 do u think Iowa would beat?Someone also said he would bet against Iowa vs every Sweet 16 except Loyola. Take that into consideration.
What team in the Sweet 16 do u think Iowa would beat?
Answer: not one.
Seems like USC taking Oregon out of rhythm and making them uncomfortable. I think that was the biggest mistake the hawks did. It just got away....Oregon got too comfortable and played their game...and it snowballed
USC guards right in the face of Oregon’s perimeter players
so jelly
Oregon first half points
Iowa 56
USC 26
Everyone and their elderly grandma with dementia and shingles knew Oregon would be putting up bricks after being red hot against Iowa. It’s like the sun always rises in the east and the atomic weight of cobalt is 58.9.Exactly. They were hitting everything us and now they are barely making 30% of their shots.
Who was favored in the Iowa / Oregon matchup.......Iowa would be favored in over half of them.
Good point about closing out well with length. Makes a huge differenceNot really. Usc playing zone, but their length allows them to close out well.
I was just going to comment how dissapointing it is to see Oregon struggling with a zone.
Iowa made Oregon look way better than they actually are.
That goofy figeruoa that hit 5 3s is like a 30% 3pt shooter in real life.
Maybe, but they were also favored over Oregon.Iowa would be favored in over half of them.
They look really good. I also thought UCLA looked great too. I'm jealous of both teamsUSC is on fire. They are the best looking team in the tournament. They can take Gonzaga.
Exactly. They were hitting everything us and now they are barely making 30% of their shots.
Thiswhen you can cover not chase the ball its a whole different game.
Logic gets it.If no one guards you, that is why you hit 40 percent threes and every drive ends in a dunk or layup or putback.
Excuses are for Frannies. He's been blown out 3 of the 4 round of 32 games.
I've never gotten that excuse. Yes of course teams get hot....but when its a common occurrence....at some point its not just "bad luck" for the HawksLogic gets it.
Still would have preferred the latter obviouslyYa Oregon played outta their minds against Iowa, but USC would’ve run Iowa outta the gym tonight

Alright, I'm out. This just makes me more frustrated about last week's loss.
Who was favored in the Iowa / Oregon matchup.......
Maybe, but they were also favored over Oregon.
Maybe, maybe not. But I’d rather lose by 30 in the sweet 16 than by 15 in the round of 32.Take comfort in the fact this USC team would’ve beat Iowa by 30
Neither post said that. More just pointing out the silliness of saying Iowa would be favored in some of these hypothetical games after getting kicked around by a team they were favored to beat earlier this week.Because Vegas is in the business of losing money. If you actually believe that Iowa would only beat Loyola from the Sweet 16 field, I don’t know what to tell you.
Turns out when you have guards that can defend Oregon's guards, they aren't world beaters.
Should have seen way more Joe T and Perkins.

Yeah that's the most frustrating thing...outside of my recruiting complaints, or my lineup complaints...if Fran would have employed a competent strategy it would have been close...I'm still kind of pissed about last week... Fran could have shortened the game and limited Oregon possessions...instead of playing right into their hands. The hawks wouldn't have played as good as D as USC has but the game could have been way more competitive before it got out of control before half (and continued into the 2nd)
No, I responded to your post. The post which you responded to said exactly that. Someone posted that he would bet against Iowa vs every Sweet 16 team except Loyola.
