Is predicting 6-10" of snow for us in NE Iowa on Friday into Saturday morning. Highs in the upper 20's. Tradition, you got a guest bed and a private jet?

I was gonna say, if anyone on this board would be OK the snow, it's the guy getting paid to plow it.

And the resident professional skiers, I suppose.

I'm having a hard time finding where I said it bothered me. I do commercial snow for a living. What are you the female SP?

No, but you wanted to get away from it, so the implication is there.

I'm just tired of people complaining about the weather already. It's Iowa. It gets cold. It snows. Even the weather people are too much.

Our major accounts are paid whether it snows or not. So I hope for recreational snow, but not in November. You go from going balls to the wall from frost out to frost in and just hope to catch your breath before the snow flies.

It is 100% work related Wendy and has nothing to do with inclinate weather. I wanted to sit and enjoy the Iowa game with my family, smoke a pork loin, drink some beer, and chill the f out. My plans have been changed for me.

Fwiw, in my industry, this year was exceptional outside of the last week or so.

Ah, I didn't even think of that. I've been spoiled, not having to worry about snow removal. But someday, I will probably be at a club where it will be my responsibility, and I'm totally dreading it.

Come down to St. Pete. It's shorts and T shirt weather. I'll teach you how to sail and you can stay on the boat. Reasonable cost as well. Boat(s) has fridge, galley, and AC.

POTENTIAL WINTER STORM LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY...WATER VAPOR
IMAGERY INDICATING THAT THE WAVE EVENTUALLY TO BE THE WX MAKER STILL
WELL OFF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST...BUT LOOKS REVVED UP AND WORRIED IT
MAY BE STRONGER THAN WHAT THE CURRENT 00Z MODEL RUNS GIVE IT CREDIT
FOR. THUS IT COULD DIG A BIT FURTHER SOUTH EVENTUALLY AND WONDER IF
THE NEW 00Z ECMWF AND IT/S FURTHER SOUTH SOLUTION MAY HAVE AN
EARLIER HANDLE. BUT THE NEW ECMWF IS ALSO DRIER LOCALLY AS IT/S
HEAVIER PRECIP IS GENERATED OFF TO THE EAST AS THE LOW DEEPENS SAT
ACRS THE EASTERN OH RVR VALLEY AND POINTS NORTHEAST OF THERE. THE
EURO/S SNOW ALGORITHM IS GENERALLY ONLY 3-6 INCHES ALONG AND NORTH
OF I80 BY SAT AFTERNOON...WITH LOCALIZED 7+ INCHES POSSIBLE FROM
CEDAR RAPIDS IA TO STERLING IL. THIS IN CONTRAST TO THE MUCH
WETTER...SOMEWHAT FURTHER NORTH AND STRONGER GFS AND NAM WHICH
CLOBBER MOST OF THE CWA WITH WINTER STORM CRITERIA SNOWS BY MIDDAY
SAT...THE NAM WIDESPREAD 10-15 INCHES WITH POCKETS OF 16+ INCHES
ALONG AND NORTH OF I80 AND QUITE A BIT SATURATION FRI NIGHT IN THE
PRIME DENDRITIC GROWTH ZONE ALOFT. THE 00Z GFS NOT QUITE AS WET BUT
STILL POINTING AT 8-12 INCHES NORTH OF I80...3-8 INCHES TO THE SOUTH
WITH THE LOWEST AMOUNTS IN THE FAR SOUTH.

But he's had the hairy spuds to post several pics of his hot wife.....

My son is running in the XC Nationals Saturday in Winneconne, WI. It's supposed to be 30 with a couple inches of snow. Great day for a 5 mile race.

You can keep it .Another good reason to live in the deep south .:)

So tell me about Charleston or other areas of S.C. The wife and I are definitely moving south when I retire, and we were looking at Charleston and/or Savannah Georgia. Just kicking around some ideas.

That's awesome T. XC is an incredible sport. Is he a better runner than his old man?

Yes, but his younger brother is nearly as good as a FR in HS as he was his SR year, so I get to listen to the arguments all the time when he's back. With BBall coming up (younger son could be starting varsity as a FR, older son never started despite 4 letters), Christmas break should be a wonderful, caring, family environment this year.
