The tiger hawk emblem has served it's time. It is a great and well recognized logo. The problem is it has a waffle. The waffle is part of the rooster's red comb that is located on the rooster's head. It is the part that is on the underside of the rooster's beak. (Google rooster's comb) A rooster is a CHICKEN. Hawks do not have waffles. (Google Red Tailed Hawks)
Actually the modified tiger hawk, that was debuted several years ago, would work very nicely. I know-I remember all the ruckus that was raised when people first saw it. Let's do it this time with an open mind. Do your research before you make a decision on this and when you see the light, let's get going on this.

Actually the modified tiger hawk, that was debuted several years ago, sucked.

FIFY.

The logo has a "waffle" as much as it looks like Fred Flintstone. You're really reaching here, dude. It does not have a waffle, and does not need modification. It is perfect as a logo, because it is distinct but simple, and it's instantly recognized nationwide as belonging to us. Don't touch it.

I had always assumed that the Tigerhawk was loosely based on the peregrine falcon. The peregrine falcon does have a distinctive bar below the eye, similar to the Tigerhawk logo. The falcon is a member of the hawk family, and is definitely not a chicken.

Also look at the beak of the Tigerhawk logo and compare it to that of a Hawk and a Rooster. The Tigerhawk and Hawks both have large curved upper beaks while the chicken has a straight upper beak that is essentially the same size as the lower beak.

The logo also has a VERY UNIQUE quality to it. The logo actually spells out FRY, which is another reason Hayden changed it to this.
Look at it closely:
The eye and the brow is an f on its side
the beak is an r
and the bottom part under the eye is a y

fry

It is raw, but obvious when you know what to look for.

Pretty cool, eh?

And if you run the numerology on Fry's full name, it comes out as 666, right?

Please, people. It's just a stylized hawk's head.

Embarrassed for you NOT. Roosters do not have waffles. Some have wattles. Get a clue.

lol. I had no idea about the Fred Flintstone face, but damn it DOES look like Fred. That's awesome. You guys could have all kinds of fun with that.

Honestly, I would just prefer dropping the logo altogether and have simple black helmets with an I on them.........Simple is cool. :)

It really does not matter what a hawk/chicken/falcon looks like. What matters is what a tigerhawk looks like. Simple, classic emblem. We all know that it needs no change. Now can we all just get along?

So does this mean you will add Wilma and Barney too? At least for sideline mascots please. Think of the children for once!

I think that you have cornered the market on cheesy mascots. I have no interest in my alma mater trying to compete for that title.
